We owned our first Dyson 22 yrs ago, a second 15yrs ago, and they're both still running but it was time for a new one given the best buy deal of the day for this model. Very strong suction and operation. The best so far. Most products get cheaper and less capable over time as cost reductions and profit demands take over. This Dyson gets better which is the right way to look at product evolution. Maximize design effectiveness. This is it. Only caveat, still heavy. All 3 we have owned over the years weigh about 17lbs. They really need to lighten these up. Were not getting any younger.

I’ve had multiple vacuums over the last eight years I’ve lived where I live, I had my carpet replaced three years ago and I had some standard vacuum and I thought it did the trick, no. Once I started using my Dyson it pulled up so much dirt/sand/dust in the first two times vacuuming my common area, and my carpet looks and smells new! Definitely worth the invested!

The Dyson Ball Animal is a powerhouse of a vacuum. This vacuum leaves noticable areas of clean carpet. We love how the arm detaches and gives you a suction hose, thereby eliminating the need for 2 differing vacuums! The ball design gives you incredible manuverability making this this the perfect household vacuum!

When using the hand held attachments the hose is awkward to keep straight when used in close proximity to vacuum unit. That is the reason I have given 4 rather than 5 stars. Dyson should supply a storage container for additional parts. This particular unit came with 5 attachments. After vacuuming, if you leave residue from vacuuming in holding tank until next use, I have yet to smell a normal "vacuum stench" from dirt, dander, and animal fur. I purchased as Deal of the Day, however, I would not purchase at full price. Suction is great straight from the box. After using make sure to clean filter and holding tank prior to it becoming full. Suction has not been the same since first use. Still has good suction but not great.

So simple to assemble and perfect to operate. Such a beautiful machine. The best vacuum I have ever owned.

I love it. I have two dogs and thought my floors were relative clean after using my old vaccum. Went back over them with this new one and the difference was incredible, how much more it picked up. With pets it’s definitely worth it.

I am amazed by the performance of this vacuum. I has great suction and maneuverability. We have a cat and a German Shepherd/St. Bernard mix dog (or pony :-)) that sheds constantly and this machine has no problem collecting their fir. It works equally well on both hardwood and carpeting. No complaints.

Very easy to assemble. I use it every other day. It works on every floor finish in the house. From tile to carpet to vinyl flooring.

Dyson ball animal 3 replaced my 15 year old Dyson animal vacuum. This vacuum sucks. Lol. Great vacuum and hope it lasts as long as the first one.

First time Dyson owner: Purchased on Black Friday sale, for a Christmas gift. So far, so good. Super easy directions to follow for assembling the vacuum. It does not feel as solid as my previous shark (a lot of plastic inputs), but the performance is not comparable. The new Dyson Ball Animal dominates the Shark Professional in every way possible when it comes to actual vacuuming the carpets, and hard wood floors

Pricey but Dyson is value for your money, never loses suction, my 10year old Dyson still works well, But The brush bar broke so I decided to use that for garage and the new for inside the home.

Awesome Unit. First time Dyson user. Before I tell you all the good things, there are about 3 small gripes. I wish it had headlights becasue in the evening with the house lights off, headlights show more of the dirt and debris on the hard wood floor than day time. The power button could be about 8 inches higher. Lastly I wish it turned a little be more freely. I’m used to the portable non corded vacuums so maybe that’s why. However compared to every $200 Bissell or shark over that last ten years. I can’t believe we never considered a Dyson. There normally 599.00 and we got this for $299 on Black Friday. It’s hands down the best and strongest. It also has a standard 5yr warranty which costs $90 via bestbuy if you buy it from Best Buy or free from Dyson. I have asthma and allergies and already tell the air quality and breathing in our bedrooms. I’m so thankful we could afford it and will stick with dyson going forward.

I bought this vacuum after owning the All Floor DC25 model for 12 years. I needed a newer Dyson upgrade as my old vacuum wasn't picking up as much as it used to. After reading the reviews I do agree the feeling of this vacuum(handle, wand, and ball) is more "thinner" plastic than before. However, the suction on this new machine feels amazing as it picks up everything. I got a new dog and this has been keeping the shedded hair under control. Another thing I recommend is not to use this vacuum on high pile or shag carpets/rugs of any kind. Thankfully I have all low pile carpets and rugs with hardfloors. So far this machine still has it suction power, doesn't overheat, or have any issues converting from the ball to the wand. I've been using Dyson for many years and still prefer this brand over others.

In love with my new dyson! Perfect size and weight. It’s also great for cleaning ceiling fans and vents that are hard to reach... I haven’t used it on my blinds yet, but I know it’s gonna be a breeze!

I have had this for 2 years and the first year was great. Second year it won’t pick up anything. I will check out the warranty to see if they will fix. I heard great things about Dyson but I am not impressed.

Have a German Shepard this vacuum gets all the hair dirty and never clogs
