This vacuum is very powerful light weight and easy to handle and highly recommended. With the ability of being cordless it goes all over without the hassle of worrying about being tangled up with a cord. This vacuum is also compact which gives it easy access. Much have thank you.

I found out about this vacuum when our work vacuum died and my boss brought in his from home and bought the v11 for himself. The one at work is V6 and I was instantly happy with it. I figured if the v6 is that good, now imagine the higher number ones. So I bought myself the v10 because the v11 had a feature i didn't need and wasn't worth paying the extra money for something I didn't need. I'm very happy with the v10. I used it when I first moved in to my apartment and after a professional carpet cleaning and I was blown away with how much dust it pulled out the carpet. Weirdly satisfying to see how much it pulled out. That's dust i won't be breathing in.

More suction than the Tyson Ball it replaced. It’s small size and various attachments makes it very effective in tight spaces

This is my first Cordless upright Dyson vacuum.and it doesn't disappoint me on spending $on it. Powerful, reach in Small space, long battery life. Only thing if Dyson take the customer reviews serious for their product improvements than the lock and un-lock dust dispenser clinch should be more strong and durable that last as the vacuums last.

This is my first Dyson ever and I have to say- I LOVE it!!! We have 2 two-year old Labradors and you wouldn't believe the amount of work that entails but this model makes my job so much easier:-)

Dyson has a winner with their new design of the Cyclone V10. I own the Motorhead V7 which fell short in a few areas, fortunately Dyson has addressed these issues and now has hands down, the best cordless vacuum I have seen. To start the V10 offers up to 60 minutes of run time on the base setting of the three modes. Dyson refers to it as ‘base’ instead of low for good reason, it has strong suction even at the lowest setting thanks to the 125,000 RPM ceramic shaft digital motor and the 14 cyclones. I only found myself switching to the higher powerful suction setting when vacuuming hard to reach places. The maximum setting only provided me with 7 minutes of continuous runtime, but I rarely found a need to switch it to that mode. For most of your day to day cleaning the base setting will provide plenty of power and battery life. I feel at the medium (powerful) setting the V10 outperforms my V7 in MAX, which says a lot about the performance of the new motor Dyson has built into the V10. In addition to the improved performance and battery life, the V10 has a redesigned dust bin/cyclone rotating it 90 degrees. For the most part I liked the change. I feel the vacuum is better balanced and now has increased bin capacity. The bin also can be removed to be cleaned further, another short coming of many cordless vacs I have owned. I am also pleased that Dyson has a removable HEPA filter that can be easily cleaned as well. Though I wouldn’t recommend resting it against a wall, the V10 stays in place thanks to the rubber added to the base of the vacuum and the bottom of the torque drive head. The motorized torque drive head on my model does a great job of cleaning my thick pile rugs on base suction (the V7 would stall on the rugs) without hanging, though it is a bit tall to fit under some of my cabinets. Fortunately, the parts are interchangeable with my V7, a plus if you already own a lower profile head. In addition to the torque drive cleaner head, the Dyson v10 animal includes a great variety of other attachments such as the mini motorized tool, mini soft dusting brush, crevice tool, and combination tool; all of which are easily changed with a one had release button. Other improvements include battery/clean filter/clog indicators, contoured handle, and faster charging at 3.5 hours. The only negative remark I have is the battery is not removable or user replaceable, but that is hardly a reason to discredit Dyson on what is otherwise a fantastic vacuum. If you are looking for the best cordless vacuum currently on the market, the Dyson V10 is the one to beat.

This works great I have carpet and wood flooring and it works great on both.

Presentation The Dyson V10 Animal is packaged in a diminutive box with clear instructions on how to assemble and operate. Having owned a V7 for a few years, this unit feels just as solid as any Dyson product but with one major caveat… it feels massively better in-hand & in use compared to its predecessors AND the competition. Not blowing smoke here… this design is a major step forward… as I will explain. Initial Setup Setup was simple and straightforward. Assembling the few pieces were simple and required little effort. The unit comes with an internal battery pack that is rated to run up to 1 full hour on the lowest power setting. If there is an Achilles heel to Dyson stick products it is the mere fact that the batteries are concealed and non-removable. We assembled this beast in less than 5 minutes and proceeded to top off the battery – which took just under 2 hours. Being the ‘pet version’, this system comes with a full array of attachments which should please most pet owners. Performance The controls on the handle easy to identify and easy to use. No electronic switches for speed and surface control like the next big competitor but the switch action is positive & precise. Two big drawbacks of the previous versions – in addition to the limited run-time and non-removable battery situation – has been noise and balance. And this is where I believe the Dyson engineers were put to the task of rethinking their design and did so in spectacular form. There are three power (or motor speed) settings in the V10 and all are effective depending on the task at hand. We noticed straight away that even at the lowest setting this new design was extremely good at picking up even solid mass debris like sand and kibbles. To be quite honest, in the two weeks of usage we rarely found an instance where we needed to implement the highest power setting. The redesign is just that good. The only time we found that the Max speed is preferred is when we wanted to really give our area rugs a solid thrashing, with the deepest extraction. And in that respect the V10 Animal doesn't disappoint. And the bonus here is that even at its lowest setting, the noise factor is a complete non-issue. The engineers struck Gold with this facet of the design change. In all honesty all three speeds are relatively quiet with the ‘Max’ setting still pleasant in use. I’ve always complained about the noise factor with Dyson ‘sticks’ and am pleased to see such advancement. Our dog approves too! Everyone has a different level of sensitivity to noise & pitch - but from my perspective - that annoying high pitched whine problem is a thing of the past with Dyson. Having a look at the overall construction of the V10 compared to our aging V7, my best guess is that there is a more direct or linear flow-through approach to the design, from head to exhaust and a better designed motor in situ. And with the much larger dust bin cylinder in an inline, flow-thru orientation as well - compared to the older transverse design – kudos to the design team for this bit of ingenuity. The larger capacity bin is easier to empty with an intuitive latch control and slide-forward eject action. Brilliant! The other huge step forward in this design is the overall weight balance of the vacuum in hand and the more smooth & precise swivel action of the cleaning head. The unit is definitely heavier in its design but that increase in mass is masked by a very well balanced layout. Again, more brilliant engineering prowess from the Dyson team. There are three-stage led indicators in a clear line-of-sight position that shows the battery level in use, a smooth activating trigger button and a logical position for the charging connector. Small things in the bigger scheme of things but worth noting. These trendy robot Frisbees got nothing on a beast like this. Summary I’ve written quite a few reviews over the past 18 months and I have to admit that this review has been the most exciting to do because of the sheer magnitude of the design improvements presented. Sure it’s just a vacuum cleaner but it far superior to anything Dyson has released previously and we’ve used and/or owned a few since 1999. Noise abatement, ergonomics and usability have all been massively improved and make the chore of vacuuming a pleasant experience – with noise factor probably being the biggest, noticeable advancement. Ditch the robot and move around a little – in comfort. Pros: Ease of setup. Extremely quiet for its cleaning ability. Does an excellent job of cleaning compared to the previous generation – even at the lowest setting. Plenty of reserve battery power. Excellent balance and comfortable to use. Larger capacity dust bin that is easier to empty. And did I mention – It’s extremely quiet to use for its cleaning ability/ Cons: Non-removable battery tech. We cannot recommend this product enough – at just about any price. It’s just that good.

It amazes me that somehow Dyson always finds a way to improve on their already top of the line products and that is still the case with the new Cyclone V10 cordless vacuum. At first sight, I was a little taken back on the size of the canister attached to the main unit and thought it doesn’t look very ergonomic. However, they seemed to have found the right balance and weight where you don’t notice the size once you start using it, almost as if it should have always been this size. I feel it has enough power to tackle most, if not all, normal floor options including hard floors, standard cut carpet and rugs. I was able to easily find use for all three of the adjustable power modes; MAX for hard floors, MAX or setting 2 for standard carpet and setting 1 for rugs so you don’t suck the rug up or lift it off the floor. The larger style spinning brush head was the perfect size for cleaning my carpeted stairs where the smaller cleaning brush heads are great for couches, cars, etc. One of the biggest improvements over some of the previous models is how long the battery lasts; according to the box, up to 60 minutes on a full charge. I used it for several days around the house without having to charge it so I haven’t actually timed the battery on a full charge as it’s surprisingly still running. As with all Dyson vacuums I have used, this one is very easy to clean and maintain by simply sliding off the clear canister and emptying the container. You slide the entire canister off and run water over it once a month to keep it clean and running in prime condition. After spending time with the vacuum and all the attachments it comes with, I could really justify replacing both a larger and heavier plug in style vacuum and a smaller car vacuum . It also comes with a 2 year Dyson warranty. All that being said, I believe all the benefits to this model will help the consumer avoid the initial sticker shock and justify it as an all-in-one vacuum that should last anyone for years to come.

8 months later and it’s still the best Vacuum I’ve ever owned. Bought the V10 Dok from Dyson website to complete the set up.

I recall growing up and my grandmother having a vaccum cleaner that was so intimidating it made you not want to make a mess because you feared how easily it would be to notice we walked on her clean carpet. Those days it was a large clunky machine with a paper bag. This Dyson Animal cord-free is of the future that I bet my grandma dreamt about! I'm giddy about a vacuum and that's okay! Right? Overall this little guy is doing wonders. I have three dogs with short and prickly hair. You'll see my Frenchie here. In a matter of minutes and about five square feet the Dyson v10 collected hair I didn't even see on my tile. Again, grandma would be disappointed in me but proud of this machine. Set up of course as always was easy, and the attachments are so simple to switch out. Besides the large cleaner head, I absolutely love the mini motorized tool. It's a compact version of the cleaner head that I can use on my cloth car seats where a lot of dog hair accumulates but is hard to remove. This is why I repeatedly come back to Dyson because when I think they couldn't perfect something they go and add more power behind such a sleek tool. Right off the bat it revved up and gave me options on how strong the suction I wanted to use. THat comes in handy with my area rugs which have caused issues with other vacuums. The dogs and I are definitely fans of this Dyson (it cleans the areas they sit in and it is going to help with my allergies)! I can't imagine a large corded version of this Dyson! Go get this and surprise grandma, I think I am!

Has been over 3 years since I’ve purchased a new vacuum. Last one being a corded. Having a cordless vacuum makes vacuuming much easier and convenient. With the Dyson 10 I can vacuum spots now that before we’re very hard to reach with improved and makes the apartment so much cleaner. The suction of the Dyson is extremely powerful no matter if it’s carpet or hard surface suction stays consistent. We keep on the high setting usually. Attachment are very simple to put on, noise level is less then what I expected. Not traditional loud sounding vacuum. Love how you can just grab it and go when you need to and my wife loves how lightweight it feels. We keep it in the charging cradle when not in use which means that it’s always at 100% when needed and the bracket is very simple to set up, just drill 1/4” initial holes (2) and your done. I used a stud finder and installed it near my fire extinguisher. It’s my first Dyson but I feel that after this it’s gonna be hard going to another brand or even back to corded again.

Low quality it’s just made from a cheap plastic easy to crack even without falling.

Very powerful for such a compact unit. Came with additional attachments for various tasks. Easy to use, easy to snap attachments on and off, great battery life. Smallish container compared to traditional upright vacuums but that's to be expected. You just have to empty it more frequently. I personally prefer to empty the canister outside to avoid stirring up the dust, even the quick release system works pretty well.

I was a little skeptical that this vacuum would be able to pick up the amount of dirt and dust that my Dyson corded vacuum could but it was time to upgrade and the appeal of no cord really piqued my interest. This vacuum does not disappoint! It picks up just fine on carpet & hard floors. It is light weight and easy to change attachments. I can carry it upstairs and down and move from rugs to hard floors to carpets with ease. I am so impressed! It kind of makes vacuuming fun again. I would say the only negative is that the compartment for holding the dirt/debris isn’t larger than it is. But I know if it was too much larger is would make it too bulky and heavy and it really isn’t that big of a deal to empty the cartridge more often, just a change. I would recommend this vacuum 100%! With 4 dogs, a cat and 3 kids, it’s made keeping the house clean so much easier to do! And it’s so much quieter than traditional corded vacuums that my pets don’t get near as scared of it. Great product!

First Dyson vacuum I have ever purchased and owned, and definitely won't be the last. Sucks up EVERYTHING. I have two cats and this stick vacuum handles my apartment like a boss. It inhales litter and fur like it's nobody's business. On any surface too, title, carpet, blanket, rug, anything. Very easy to use, and it's wireless. In seconds you can go from vacuuming your home to vacuuming your car. Comes with useful attachments. Also is pretty quiet for a vacuum. It's loud but not loud to the point where you can't hear yourself think.

It is easy to work with. It is very light which can move around very easy. No cord attached makes it easy to vacuum anywhere and on the stairs going up and down. It is also easy to store by hinging on the wall. It is a good technology. You can use it anywhere and it clean very nicely. It is also not too noisy. I would recommend this over the cord type.the shape and the color is also very nice. We had the cord type before but I would recommend this over the cord type.

Despite being pricey, this is an exceptional vacuum. It does not even need to be on max power to feel like you’re getting max suction thereby extending the battery life... I don’t think I’ve ever had it die on me in the middle of cleaning. Its lightweight and comes with an assortment of different interchangeable tools that make vacuuming every surface possible. I had a corded dyson before and could not believe the difference it made to upgrade

I felt obligated to write a review on my Dyson after giving a scathing review of a Shark cordless vacuum I ultimately returned. For starters, I was very weary of buying a Dyson. Not only is the price point much higher than any other cordless vacuum, Consumer Reports will not recommend Dyson due to a history of longevity issues. However, every independent test rates Dyson the best in cleaning power, so I thought I'd roll the dice and give it a try. Let me say... this thing is freaking awesome! So light and easy to use! As expected, it did a perfect job on my hardwood floors. What has truly blown me away is how it performs on my carpets and large rugs. I turn it up to its Max setting, and you can feel it pulling on the carpet. It was shocking how much the Dyson sucked up (and how much my old cord vacuum left behind)! The first time I used it, I must have emptied the canister 10 times! So glad I paid the extra money for the Cyclone V10, which has a canister 40% larger than its previous models. Granted, I have a German "Shedder", so it was necessary for me. The charging station and additional tools really make the Dyson worth the hefty price tag. I'm just praying that I can get a few years out of this bad boy!
