I keep my Dyson purifier in my bedroom since I have dogs, and it has been 100% worth it. My room stays fresh, and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the air quality. The app setup was super easy, and I love being able to control everything from my phone. If you’re a pet owner, I highly recommend it.

The Dyson Hushjet compact air purifier is a nice size to fit most anywhere in the room. It seems to sense odors, smoke and other particles from cooking, dusting or other pollutants in the house. When in auto mode, as soon as it senses particles the fan kicks on higher as needed and pulls in air 360 degrees around through the sides and evacuates clean out from the top straight up. It seems to work pretty fast. Since it’s a Dyson, the fan is really quiet and efficient we can watch TV while it cleans the air with disruption. I can hear the air rushing but it is not loud. The app works okay and there is no remote control included. The app allows control of the auto or manual setting but the graphing of the particle levels seems a little buggy. I guess that’s expected since it hasn’t been out that long. The 360 degree filters are inside the case and are accessible by pushing buttons on both sides and lifting the case and fan up and off. There is a 360 electrostatic filter as well as a 360 carbon filter. The only issue I have found is that the electrostatic filter is supposed to last 5 years but the carbon filter still has to be replaced every year like the other Dyson air purifiers. Overall this is a high quality air purifier.

The HushJet is something the wife and I had our eye on to try and help with allergies and sleep. We have had air purifiers in the past, but they were often pretty loud, and we weren't actually sure if they were helping. Both of these issues have been addressed by the HushJet. While we're still not sure if it will help with allergies, we know that it is cleaning our bedroom air. And it also helped us realize the humidifier we had been using wasn't the best choice either. We could see the air quality decline when the humidifier was on. Which opened our eyes to find a replacement for that as well. Secondly, the level at which the HushJet operates is very quiet. It lives up to its name. You can barely hear it when it's running. Even at full fan speed, it's still much quieter than any other alternative that we have tried. - Setup - The setup for the HushJet was very easy. You basically just plug it in and let the app walk you through it's setup. Which is just a couple simple steps. - Software / App - The Dyson app is great as well. Letting you set schedules for different modes, keep track of filters, and review air quality in near realtime. Being able to see the history of when the air quality changed, and what may have caused that is very useful too. And one of the reason we're replacing our humidifier. Being able to essentially leave it on its auto mode (letting it increase fan speed of air quality declines) is our preferred use, and it works very well. Pros: excellent app, very quiet, easy to use Cons: a bit pricey

I live in a house with three adults (myself included), one child, and five indoor pets (a lab, a Maltese, and three cats), and pet hair and dander are the primary allergy-inducing components amongst other factors such as dust, cleaning products, and odors and gases from cooking. Although our house is decently ventilated, having these many pets was too much (we adopted three cats during the summer), and our young daughter and wife would often sneeze and get red eyes from the pet dander and hair. Enter the Dyson HushJet Compact to the rescue! Although it’s only rated up to a 203 sq ft room, after finding a strategic location in the living room and leaving it on 24/7 on automatic mode, our air quality has improved tremendously. When the machine was first turned on, the fan ran at level 7 for the first day or two. By the third day, the fan noise became unnoticeable, as the air quality stabilized and the fan level bounced around only on the lower levels. And by this time, the difference was noticeable in the quality of life of my daughter and wife – they almost stopped sneezing completely and they no longer experienced red, watery eyes. I was impressed by the performance of the Auto mode. One time when the smoke from cooking spilled out from the kitchen and into the living room, I noticed the HushJet ramp up its fan level as it alerted poor air quality via the LCD display. Once the smoke disappeared, the HushJet dynamically lowered the fan level until it became quieter than a whisper again. True to its name, the HushJet is super quiet. Initially, I often found myself checking on the machine to see if it’s really on by holding my hand over the top to feel the airflow or looking for the LCD display that shows a real-time graph of the air quality level. I slept with the HushJet in our bedroom for a few nights on auto mode, and I couldn’t hear it at all and I’m a very light sleeper. Setting up the machine couldn’t be any easier. The MyDyson app quickly found the HushJet and became paired, and the app is snappy and well-organized in a clean and intuitive interface. From inside the app, you’re presented with pertinent and important information – filter life remaining, indoor air quality level, and the controls for power on/off, scheduling automation, sleep mode that turns off the LCD light and sets the fan level to four, and a toggle to turn on or off the auto mode. It’s also inside the app that you’ll see tutorial videos for how to clean and maintain the machine as well as performing filter changes. Even without the app, you can control the HushJet via the three physical buttons located underneath the LCD display. One button controls the fan level, one is the power button, and third button toggles different information such as machine status, PM2.5 level, PM10 level, filter life remaining, and Wi-Fi connection status. All in all, the HushJet is an excellent and highly performant air purifier, and we are all super happy with it. It’s compact and light, the auto mode is intelligent and quick-reacting, and its filtering performance is top-tier, reducing allergies and bad odors in a dynamic and intelligent fashion. And for people like our family who have many fur babies indoors, it’s an excellent health and quality of life investment.

Unlike other machines, this is deceptively simple and works well. It's definitely quiet. Noise is barely audible although it can be heard and on a different pitch than most fans, slightly different than the expected white noise, so it might take time for one to adjust to it. We installed it in a hallway outside bedrooms so it’s not an issue. Most of the machine is the actual filter. There are two tabs to press on the side and the whole external case lifts off from the base, which holds two filters, one inside the other. Inside, a fan is clearly visible near the base, from which the air flows into the jet-like shape on top. The buttons are very simple: Power on/off, the button to set the display, and to reset filter like while held, and the speed button, which can be set to auto. The machine has an internal air pollution sensor that's used to control the speed of the fan when in auto mode. The small color screen is quite bright and displays an air quality graph among other settings. We already had a Dyson app, which while not necessary, it can be used as a remote control and to visualize air quality metrics. This same app is also used on other Dyson appliances. We already had the app installed and adding the new machine took no more than two minutes. Dyson integrates directly with Alexa and Google Home via a cloud connection. However there is no Apple Home nor Matter for local connections, which is unfortunate. My other Dyson machine can be unofficially integrated with Home Assistant although this machine is not recognized yet. Likely a matter of time. One minor complaint is that the plug is extremely large. It sticks out way too far when plugged directly into a wall plug, with a thick cable that seems over-spec for a small fan. Overall it's a simple, quiet air purifier. I like that it can be remotely controlled from an app and some of the home assistants.

Ordered this one for our newborns nursery and absolutely love it. Quiet but works extremely well. Love how it isn’t bulky and fits discreetly in the corner of her room. App integration is flawless and intuitive. Another great Dyson product!

Right now, we’re using the Dyson HushJet Compact Air Purifier in the kids’ game room, but we got it with the nursery in mind for when the new baby arrives this spring. It’s been running pretty much every day for the past couple weeks, and so far, we’ve been really impressed. It’s super quiet — like, you forget it’s even on most of the time. That’s a big deal for us since it’ll eventually be near the crib, and any kind of fan noise at night can be a deal-breaker. The size is also perfect. It tucks into the corner without drawing attention, and even my wife (who’s picky about what makes it into the nursery) gave it the thumbs up on looks. That doesn’t happen often. As far as performance goes, we haven’t really noticed a huge change in air quality yet — but to be fair, it’s the middle of winter here in the Midwest, and our air has tested clean according to the app. We’re expecting it to really shine once allergy season hits and when the diaper pail gets going full-time. Setup with the MyDyson app was super easy. I like having the data and seeing the air quality reports even if things are still looking good. Come spring, when windows start opening and construction ramps up in the neighborhood, I’m curious to see how this thing holds up. So far, it’s been a quiet, compact, stylish unit that fits in well with our space and gives us a little peace of mind — especially heading into baby season.

I bought my first one and was s happy. It did what it says it does and it is very quiet. It gave me all I was looking for so I bought a second one for my bedroom. I highly recommend this Dyson for those who do not care about heating or cooling features but a simple perfect, and quiet air cleaning unit.

We are quite happy with the air quality sensing ability of this unit, as well as the quietness of the fan motor, even when it accelerates to deal with a sudden change in the quality of the air in the room… 5 stars!!!

Dyson, known mainly for their vacuums but producers of all things air related, are at it again with a compact air purifier designed for smaller spaces with the new HushJet Compact Air Purifier. Does this little unit pack a punch? Let’s find out. Opening the box you’ll find a power cord, the purifier, and some basic documentation. The most striking part is the design of this thing – it is about the size of a compact trash can but with what looks like a jet engine at the top. Despite the jet look, Dyson promises the design is to minimize noise…we’ll see in a moment if it runs as quiet as promised. Like all things now, this unit can be connected to wifi and monitored/configured through an app. This is the easiest way to control it, although the functions can also be done using the display and control buttons. A quick download and we are ready to go. Setup was simple using the app and then it was off to the pure air races! As advertised, the unit at idle speeds is very quiet, so quiet that you can’t really tell it is running at all from any distance away from it. The real time monitoring both on the display and in the app is useful to know what is going on with your air quality and to watch it work. I did notice that there are frequent drops in the historical data, and annoyingly they seemed to only happen when the unit was actually running. Not sure if this is a firmware issue or a problem with Dyson’s servers, but hopefully they fix it. One thing I learned – in my house in the winter my air quality is….really good already. During the course of this review it only spun up a couple of times – and at max speed it does make a noticeable sound of air moving through it. It didn’t have any unpleasant tone and was just kind of like a white noise in the background, but you can tell it was running. Overall, this unit is compact and relatively quiet and has all of the features you would want in a compact air purifier.

Overall, the HushJet isn’t a revolutionary leap forward, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s sleek, durable, and blends into a room without looking like an appliance. Most importantly, it’s helped me breathe easier and sleep better, which makes it worthwhile. If you already own a purifier, upgrading is definitely optional, but Dyson fans will appreciate the polished experience. For smaller rooms, it’s a dependable choice that quietly improves daily life without fuss.
