Yes, it's expensive-- but like buying any Dyson product you truly get what you pay for. The best appliances in my house are Dyson, but this one is my personal favorite I have gone through 'cheaper' hairdryers that just cook my hair and scalp. Also they were TERRIBLE to control-- this one is so easy it's like you're hardly holding anything. I honestly wish I bit the bullet a while ago and just bought this ages ago. It's light, it's fun to use. It cooling mode is INSTANT. I have the wide tooth-comb attachment and I HIGHLY recommend you get that to style your hair better. Just do it. Just get it. It's a life changer for hair. Also it is aesthetically pleasing-- it's GORGEOUS.

I bought this dyson hair dryer as a birthday gift for my wife. She was blown away.

The design is sleek. I like the matte finish makes it easy to grip. I had different hair dryers but this one is more powerful and leaves my hair with a nice sheen to it. Drying my hair is quick and easy. Power cord is a bit thick, but feels very sturdy. The device offers precise control over heat and airflow settings, allowing users to tailor the drying experience to their hair type and desired style. Heat settings easy to control and because of its chip it will monitor heat and set it to the right amount to reduce excessive heat not to burn your hair. Promotes hair health. Attachments: It comes with magnetic attachments like the diffuser, concentrator, and smoothing nozzle. These attachments are easy to connect and can help in achieving various styling needs, from straightening to creating curls or adding volume. The Supersonic is engineered to be quieter than most hair dryers, providing a more pleasant user experience. I bought a new one as a surprise Thanksgiving gift for my wife. She received it today (11/27/2023). It was a big surprise! She received a used and dusty one. The seal was cut open already. The inside package was missing. I called Best Buy. They told me I needed to bring it back to the store for the exchange. Best Buy, are you seriously?! You sent me a used one, and I have to drive to the store to exchange it on my own time.

The Dyson hairdryer is a game-changer! Its cutting-edge technology not only dries hair quickly but also minimizes damage and frizz. The sleek design, balanced weight, and precise airflow make it a delight to use, offering a salon-quality finish at home.

The Dyson hair dryer is amazing! It works so much more efficiently than other hair dryers. It is light weight and super easy to hold and manage. The airflow is strong so it works really well for my thick hair. Drying time is way less which is great!

The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer in Black/Nickel isn't just a style statement; it's a technological leap forward in hair care. From personal use, it's clear that Dyson has channeled its prowess in engineering into crafting a dryer that is both lightweight and remarkably quiet. It dries hair rapidly, courtesy of its powerful digital motor and Air Multiplier technology, without the extreme heat that risks hair damage. The magnetic attachments are a game-changer—easy to adjust and switch for versatile styling needs. The intelligent heat control continuously measures air temperature, ensuring optimal drying temperature, which has made a noticeable difference in reducing hair frizz and increasing smoothness. It may come at a premium price, but for the protection of hair health and the efficiency it offers, the Dyson Supersonic is a worthy investment.

The Dyson hair dryer works great. I bought the other Dyson with multiple attachments for my daughters. They love it. The diffuser is nice for the kid with curly hair. I like the cool button as well as the no heat function. I ended up buying this second Dyson for myself since I have shorter hair and this comes with the only attachment that I use anyway so no need to spend more money for extra attachments that we already have. I never thought I would spend this much on not one but two hairdryers. I’ve had the original one for 6 months. This black one is the exact same as my purple one. If you don’t need all the attachments, then this is the better one to buy as it comes with the styling tool attachment but costs less.

Best hairdryer I've ever had. Feels solid, balance and well-built, but not heavy. Much quieter too. I don't know how, but the air stream is very strong but precisely aimed at intended part of your hair. My hair dries twice as fast using this Dyson.

I’m really impressed with the Dyson Supersonic Origin Hair Dryer. It dries my hair much faster than a traditional hair dryer, while still leaving my hair feeling smooth and looking shiny. The airflow is powerful, but the dryer is easy to control and comfortable to use. I also love the sleek, premium design—it feels like a high-quality product right out of the box. Another big plus is that it helps reduce the time I spend drying my hair, which is especially convenient when I’m in a hurry. The heat and airflow settings are easy to adjust depending on what you need. Overall, it’s a great combination of power, speed, and stylish design. A little more expensive than a basic hair dryer, but definitely worth it for the performance. Highly recommend!

I own one already and have been using it for 5 years. It doesn’t damage my hair and bought this for my daughter. Light weight and dry fast!

Love it so far. It's a lot quiter and works a lot quicker for me. I'm a guy with shortish hair. My old normal dryer took at least 15 minutes to dry all my hair. This takes 3-5 at most and I think it's made a difference in how my hair feels too.

The Dyson blow dryer is the best there is!! I’m a hair stylist for over 30 years and I’ll never buy anything else. It’s light but powerful and runs on a motor and not a heating element which gives you even heat all the time.

I bought this when was on sale an had some earned cash back an was able to buy for $120! Best deal ever!

Just like every Dyson product I have purchased previously this one works amazingly well. It is very overpriced.

My husband purchased this for me for our anniversary and I thought it was a little crazy to spend so much money on a blow dryer but after using this after using a Conair blow dryer for decades, I will never go back! My hair is no longer frizzy, I now just blow dry my hair and can go about my day without needing to straighten my entire head! I used to hate blow drying my hair because I would be sweating like crazy after blow drying it, but that's NOT the case with this blow dryer, I'm a little warm afterward but I am not sweating like crazy! Dyson's quality is always amazing so I know that this will be an investment that will last me years! Again, it's so worth it! I can't stress it enough!

The dryer itself is perfect, sleek and does a great job, however the power cord is very thick and clunky.

This dryer dries you hair so quickly, it is extremely powerful! I wish it came with some more attachments like the other ones do but I got it on a good price so I guess you get what you pay for!

I like the dryer, it is quiet and seems to dry quicker than a regular dryer. I do have to be careful to not let my hair blow all over while drying otherwise I get knots in my hair, so I use a brush or my fingers to keep it smoothed down. I do feel that it isn’t as damaging to my hair as a regular dryer

This hair dryer is so fabulous that I purchased one for my daughter too. It significantly shortened my blowout time and leaves your hair with a silky smooth look. Highly recommend!
