Hands down the BEST thing I ever bought (well, after my hot tub)! WHY did I wait to buy a Dyson? I am actually ENJOYING vacuuming!!! In fact, the laser on the head for my laminate floors makes vacuuming a GAME! You cannot miss one speck! It shows you EVERYTHING. I am older so the convenience of not having a corded vacuum, having a laser beam, and how lightweight it is makes this a senior’s dream come true! I thought a battery operated vacuum would not hold a charge long enough and be annoying. I thought the smallish dirt canister would annoy me. I was dead wrong on both accounts! The suction is praiseworthy and the battery charge lasts for all 1,800+ sq ft of my home. I empty one time for the entire house. Warning: you will WANT to vacuum if you’ve never been cordless before or have been dust mopping your wood floors. Just buy it! I truly feel like an idiot saying ..I love vacuuming, but now I do!

Great vaccum, expensive yes but it does the work. Comes with a few heads for different methods of cleaning. Price is hefty but i was able to get 1 year to pay off with no interest with Best Buy. Had a $60 cheap brand that stopped working within a few months, do yourself a favor and buy a high quality one like this. Easy to attach, charge, dump trash and most important; clean!

The Slim Dyson is lighter than our Dysons 8 which has given us many years of great service and is still chugging along. The button for turning the vacuum on with active sensing to modulate the power levels is very effective. It is more user friendly than holding the trigger and having two settings. While dimming the lights to get an even better visual of the roller with the laser detection is “enlightening” to say the least, this thing is so good it will highlight minor areas of unevenness on your floors. We just finished the basement with luxury vinyl title and the occasional areas that are 100% flush will “pop out”. If this might drive you nuts and you prefer ignorant bliss of how clean your floors really area, do not get this eye opening device! You may start liking to vacuum as you defeat the dust, dirt and hair on what looks like an otherwise clean floor. I have to commend Dysons on leading innovation within this sector. I would say that the anti-tangle hair brush head also works better than the prior heads - just wish that head had a laser too! Finally this unit allows you to buy a swappable battery if you need more runtime - this is a feature that LG did a good job of pressuring Dysons to provide over their fixed battery design. At this price I think they should have included a spare battery since you really can’t benefit from the feature unless you have one, but the swappable battery really allows them to keep the weight super low. Some prior Dyson 8 users may not like having to disconnect the cleaning head to dispose of the debris collected, but the inline versus 90 degree waste bin collection is a more effective design for maximizing suction capability without excessive battery usage. Dyson engineers are geniuses but the laws of Physics and engineering still apply to them. I would highly recommend this design - you will not be disappointed!

Pretty impressed with what this new vacuum can do,the light Weight and maneuverability makes it easy to clean my house, I love that the laser helps me find dust and dirt under furniture or in corners where you normally wouldn’t spot them. Power is excellent, and suction is automatically or manually optimized depending on the dust level.The battery life is perfect for us, I wish the wall dock had enough space for the additional attachments to be a completely perfect vacuum set

Dyson is the only way forward. I own like 8 Dyson vacuum and by far this is the lightest one so far. It does the job of any other Dyson vacuum but light as a feather. I enjoy doing the stairs and then doing the whole house. If the vacuum is full it will not turn on so make sure you empty the bin. When I finish vacuuming my house feels so much cleaner and the suction on the vacuum is awesome

This Dyson V12 is the best I’ve had. I first purchased the newer V15, too heavy. I kept having to switch hands when using. Didn’t like the power button that had to be held on to run. Returned right away and got the V12. What a difference. The green light when using the hard surface head is amazing. You see everything. I leave the suction setting at auto and I get a good 45 min or more. It also keeps track of the time left. I wish Dyson would allow using all attachments to be used on every vacuum. What a waste. Just because it is not the latest model doesn’t mean it’s not the best.

The LED light on the vacuum head works amazing during the day and during the night. Suction power for the vacuum is up to standards, but not the best, however, it is extremely lightweight. The only downside is the small trash canister but if you don’t care about emptying it multiple times this vacuum is a 10 out of 10. 

Works amazing. It sucks up my dogs hairs and I love the laser for the hard floors gives you a clear visual for those hard to see dirt. I like using it for my windows a lot so much dust and it clears it up and leave no dust behind. Make sure its always cleared out though since it fills up fast from all the grime you have hidden in your carpet like mine.

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. The suction is incredible. Most of my floors are hardwood and I love the green laser that highlights dust. I don’t miss a spot. Even on carpet it works great and can automatically increase or decrease suction. It is easy to empty the dustbin and the recharge time is short, I would highly recommend this vacuum.

I usually don’t do reviews, unless I’m really sincerely, satisfied, I am a person that vacuums when they don’t even see dirt, I love the infrared feature on one of the attachments, I have a roommate and he is hard on vacuums. I had a cordless shark and the shark vacuum was good at first, but it’s performance was downhill from day one, I can honestly say that this vacuum cleaner is working just as well as the day I bought it , that’s why I’m giving this review five stars

My first Dyson, by far the best vacuum on the market! Very powerful, Dyson clean is definitely an entire different top notch clean. Easy to use, love the led light, shows you everything! Amazing product. The only downside is parts availability. Some factory parts are hard to get. But honestly the best on the market

I needed a vacuum for my mostly carpet free 1 bed room apartment that would be capable of picking up my cattle dogs hair with ease. The v12 has lived up the expectation. It’s light and easy to use so it makes vacuuming a natural part of my day. Some of my favorite things is the versatility of the heads and the tube, it breaks down so easy that I bring it to my girlfriends place to help clean her apartment. The battery lasts about 45-60 minutes depending on the cleaning but that is always enough for me. Charging is a little slow, probably taking about 45-60 minutes to go from completely out of charge to a full charge. I mainly use it on hard floors picking up dog hair and it’s a night & day difference from before I clean and after.

Had the v8 for years and caught the v12 detect slim on sale. I’m not disappointed. The battery is awesome compared to the v8. Loving the new attachments and the lcd screen!

Love the size, assembly options, style, and the color. Could improve when it comes to cleaning out the vacuum. Battery life and cleaning settings are effective. Would have liked more features for the price (washer).
