The Dyson V15 Detect + Dok is the best vacuum I've ever owned. The suction power is excellent and my carpets look noticeably cleaner after every use. I upgraded from the Dyson Cyclone V10 after using it for the past eight years and the improvements have been well worth it. Although it feels a bit heavy during longer useage, maneuvering around is effortless, especially with different floor types. One of my biggest frustrations with the V10 was constantly having to cut tangled hair off the brush roll. Thankfully, the V15's brush has stayed completely tangle-free so far, which has significantly reduced the amount of maintenance required. The tank is also much easier to empty this time around.  The first time I used the V15, I was honestly shocked by how much dirt it picked up. I had to empty the dust bin multiple times in each room because it was pulling up so much dust, pet hair, and pet dander that my old vacuum had been leaving behind. It really made me realize just how much of a difference the stronger suction makes. I also love the new LCD screen, which shows the total number of particles picked up as I vacuum, so I can actually see how much debris it's collecting in real time. It also displays the remaining run time left on the battery for whichever mode I'm using. This helps me plan my cleaning and when I need to switch settings or recharge. I tend to only use the boost mode when I want the most powerful suction, since the battery life caps at around 12 minutes. Still, that's long enough to clean three carpeted bedrooms in my apartment. The Dok makes charging a breeze, so it's never a hassle to be ready for the next use. As an avid Dyson fan, I was especially excited about the included Dok. Since I rent my home, I've never wanted to drill the standard wall mount into the wall with my previous vacuum. I always propped it up against a corner where it constantly tipped over. The Dok completely solves that problem. It securely holds and charges the vacuum while neatly organizing all of the attachments in one place. Everything stays easily accessible, and doesn't require any permanent installation. In addition to the main carpet brush, the Dyson V15 included everything I need to vacuum my couch in handheld mode and allowed me to tackle hard floors with the soft head that displays a light to reveal all the invisible dust and crumbs for easy cleanup. Overall, the Dyson V15 Detect + Dok has exceeded my expectations. The new additions are a pleasure. From the powerful suction, tangle-free brush, the helpful LCD screen and the convenience of the freestanding Dok, it's been a huge upgrade from my previous Dyson. If you're considering making the investment, you can't go wrong with a Dyson. I highly recommend it.

The first thing you will notice when you open the Dyson V15 Detect box is the packing. I don’t normally comment on packing as long as the product is received as expected. But in this case I want to give a shout out to the Dyson packing engineers. All of the packing is cardboard and there is a lot of it. Each item in the box was well protected and seemed to have their own box. Caution, look very thoroughly so you don’t miss something before you throw/recycle the packing away. I have often thought all cordless vacuums should come with a wall mount adapter since they must have a place to charge. Dyson does one better here with a dedicated stand that works very well and holds all of the included accessories. It's great that I don’t have to drill more holes in my walls. It also gives you the flexibility to place the whole kit almost anywhere you want. The stand looks good and was very easy to assemble. I am the primary house cleaner and I have used several cordless vacuums over the years. That includes a smaller Dyson V7 which is a much lighter duty vacuum that has been in my service since 2017. That has been a great vacuum and the V15 appears it will be too. The biggest test of any vacuum is how well they clean and in the case of a cordless, will the battery last long enough to do the job you started. I have a comparable cordless vacuum that I have been very satisfied with. The Dyson V15 has now made that vacuum obsolete. And the main reason is the cleaning. My house is 1,800 square feet with the bottom floor wood and the upper floor carpet. On the wood floor almost all vacuums I have had including corded vacuums will scatter almost as much dirt as they pick up. I am not seeing that same issue with the V15. It picks up dirt as well or better than any vacuum I have ever used. And in the end that is the main selling point as the V15 just does a better job cleaning. This is clearly seen while using the Fluffy Optic cleaning head that illuminates the dirt. When I go over the same area the dirt is gone. Using my older cordless there was always dirt left and even though it worked ok, it's just not as effective as the V15. The second issue with any cordless vacuum is does the battery last long enough so I can finish what I started. Again the V15 passes this test for both floors including the stars. My older cordless could finish the job for both floors if I was careful. Speaking of vacuuming the stairs, the V15 was the easiest vacuum to do that then any I have ever used. The V15 also has the battery life to do both floors with a bit more left over. I was easily getting over a full hour of run time on auto. The V15 has a nice display that shows useful information such as current run time, one of the three power modes for Auto, Eco and Boost. Boost is interesting in that I have not really needed it so far. I had to use it regularly on my older cordless. This also demonstrates how much more effective the cleaning is on the V15 since you don’t go over the same areas to get them clean. Other interesting information is seeing the particle size you're picking up. Honestly I am not sure what I will do with that information but I find it interesting just the same. Changing the display or power modes are done with a simple button near the display. There is one complaint I have with the V15 is the handle. I don’t find it fits my hands well. That was also true for my older D7. For some reason I grip it too tight. Not a deal breaker for the benefits and I expect overtime it will be more natural for me. This is a great cordless vacuum. I normally judge the value of a product on price but that’s not as easy here. There is a flood of cheap cordless vacuums available. And if you just go by price it might be hard to justify the V15. But I have eight years of service on the Dyson V7. If that is an indication of what I can expect from the Dyson V15, that changes the value calculation quite a bit. Also it's easy to forget that there is a safety issue with cheaper battery powered devices and can be overlooked. I have confidence that the Dyson brand is built with quality and safety in mind.

Included- V15, Dok stand, charging cord, two roller brushes, crevice tool, manual and quick start guide Setup-  The quick start guide has great illustrations to help assemble the V15, Dok and install the charging cord. It only took a few minutes and then you need to completely charge the vacuum to 100% before usage.  Once it's fully charged, just pick which attachment you need and attach it, pull the trigger and vaccuum. The display screen will show you the runtime left on the battery, the amount of particles picked up and any maintenance alerts. The advanced motor heads will detect what floor type you're on and how much power is needed to deep clean to help maximize your efficiency. The Dyson V15 is very powerful. The amount of dust and dirt it picked up from my floors was quite appalling yet impressive. To empty the bin, it's very easy. Detach the head from the stick and hold it over the garbage can and push down on the red lever and it will open the door and empty the contents. I've owned a few Dyson's before this and it's always a favorite of mine. The power and cleaning ability is always so great. Manuevering the V15 is alright. It's not as easy as other stick vaccuums I've had but it's not the worst either. It can get a little heavy after sometime and I wish it turned more smoothly on a sharp corner. It pivots easily but just needs some extra arm muscle.  I really appreciate the new Dok stand. The stand is very compact and doesn't take up much space. All of the previous Dyson stick models have required a wall mount that I didn't want to permanently install so this works out perfectly, especially if someone does not want wall damage that they may have to repair later. I've never had a great way to store my stick Dysons until now with the Dok. I'm very excited about owning the new Dyson V15 Detect. It will work on any type of floor and deep clean all the floors. It even converts to a handheld vacuum so you can clean furniture, the stairs or your car. It is a great vacuum to have. It will clean all your floors well.

Though kinda pricey, the quality of these vacuum is well worth it. Very easy to use and set up. Charging dock makes storage very easy to store and charge. Does a tremendous job on tile, carpet, couches, against pet hair. The green light makes finding missing spot effortless. On eco mode, gives me plenty of time to do all the vacuuming I need done before needing to recharge.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a Dyson vacuum. It was a giant clunker, but it did the job. When it (finally) died, I ran through some other brands stick vacuum cleaners. They all had good points and bad points, but none were complete enough to prevent me from finally going back to Dyson. I just got the v15 Detect + dok. Man, they packed this thing with a ton of cardboard. I was actually surprised at the pile after I was done unboxing all the pieces. In this package, you head the main vacuum component / motor, the fluffy optic cleaner head, the digital motorbar cleaner head, a mini version of motorbar cleaner head, and crevice tool to get into tighter spaces. This also came with a stand / storage (dok) and of course the charger to get power to the battery. After getting thru all the cardboard, assembly of the vacuum and swapping cleaning heads/tools takes seconds. Assembly of dok was a little more convoluted to get it together correctly with the charging cord in the right place. Dyson recommends charging to 100% before first use, and the digital screen on the vacuum will remind you if you pull the trigger before you do that. Once charged up for first use, you are ready to go. Select the cleaner head needed for the floors you have and of you go. One of the great things about Dyson’s is that they are powerful and with the v15’s it’s on the quieter side for a vacuum, despite the power. I have mostly hard wood floors, so the fluffy optic head has been my go-to. The illuminating green light shows all the pet hair, dust, and dirt that my other vacuums either missed or couldn’t pick up. It’s great that the v15 detect shows you just how dirty your floors are, but then you realize just how disgustingly dirty they are too haha. Carrying the 6 lb vacuum up and down flights of stairs is easy, as the vacuum is not overly bulky and certainly not heavy. The battery run time is rated by Dyson to be 60 mins, which is impressive considering the suction power it has and means you can complete the whole job, floors, ceilings, and everything in between. I’ve used the motorbar cleaner head a couple times, mostly on upholstery to deal with dog and cat hair on the couch, but I prefer the optic and illuminating light cleaner head to see everything on the floors. With any of the tools, you’ll notice that the motor runs with the power it needs to clean the dirt it detects, automatically switching power to do the job on the floor / surface it’s on. As you are cleaning, the small digital display will even show you the size/types of dust & particles its sucking up and trapping in the canister with its HEPA filter ensuring that nothing but clean air escapes. When complete, the v15 easily stores away on dok and charges for the next time. The one thing that I wish there was a setting to change based on user preference is how the trigger works. The design is power the motor when the trigger is pressed, and to turn off when the trigger is released, which means you need to keep squeezing the trigger the whole time you are vacuuming. The one thing I liked more about other vacuums I’ve had is being able to press the trigger or a button to turn on and a second press of the trigger or button to turn off the vacuum. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a small thing and doesn’t detract from what is an excellent, portable, convertible vacuum that can do the job you need it to at the press of a trigger. Very happy with it, even though the v15 shows me constantly just how dirty my “clean” house really is! This is an excellent vacuum for anyone, but especially a pet owner. It reduces the hassle of vacuuming by making it easier and “fun” to see all that dirt!

This is my second Dyson V15 Detect. I got the original when it released a little over 5 years ago, and it has been used and abused constantly since then. In fact, despite two dogs and 2,000 sq feet of hard floors it never missed a beat for most of that time. It still works well but is showing some real signs of age now with a failed gasket and bin release mechanism so I felt it was time for a new one to replace it. The most significant update to the 2026 version is the inclusion of the new Dok stand, which is a very welcome change making the experience much more complete and comfortable than ever. Previously if you wanted to hang it on the charger it required a wall mounted bracket which was always somewhat flimsy and felt ready to break although thankfully it never actually did. Now, that changes with the new weighted metal stand called the Dok, which is tall enough to sit the V15 on without disassembly and has more space to store the attachments and a nice track up the back for the power cable to feed through. It has a tilt mechanism in the dock head to allow an easier drop in with less potential binding than before as well. The power supply hasn’t changed remaining the awkward large brick that is impossible to hide and unwieldy to plug into the wall but it all works. This V15 is mostly the same as the original with a few light tweaks, including a couple subtle color changes and the removal of the off switch for the floor laser on the hard floor vacuum head. Truthfully, I didn’t think it needed much and clearly neither did Dyson. The pet hair tool has changed shape quite a bit but I have not noticed a difference in how it works which is still very well. The carpet head is just as noisy yet powerful as ever, and it also still suffers from the same lack of capacity in the dust bin but it does a better job of keeping everything in the bottom where it empties much easier. It no longer includes a few smaller brush tools like it did before but my older attachments still work with the new unit. As always, it cleans incredibly well and makes getting every little speck a breeze with the green laser shining onto the path in front of you. The trigger for power rather than a traditional on/off switch is also my preferred method of vacuuming so I am grateful that has not changed either. It is powerful, lasts almost an hour on a full charge, and relatively quiet and lightweight making it super easy to use. I have loved the V15 detect for many years now, so much so that when it came time to replace it I could see no better choice than to do it again. If you have pets or simply want better visibility on your cleaning look no further. This one will treat you well no matter what you put it through and I cannot recommend it enough.

OK... I admit... I love this vacuum. I though the green light laser was going to be a gimmick but it steals the show by highlighting all the dust and hair I "thought" I was getting with my broom or older vacuum. Overall, it is easy to use and has a long enough battery life for me to clean my whole house. The Dok helps keep all the attachments organized and ready to be interchanged as I go from carpet to stairs to tile to hardwood.

I absolutely love this new tool in our household helping keep little hair balls and dust bunnies at bay. I love the lazer, it is so fun, and at the same gross lol! All that hair and dust is just hanging out next to me? WHOA! But the house smells great now, pet hair isn't an issue, and allergies have significantly lowered. I highly recommend this as your next upgrade to your home.

Overall can’t complain. Does exactly what it’s supposed to. I like the attachments and the the stand it comes with. Got the vacuum for my dogs hair that got all over the place and it picks it up with no problem. Just wish that the battery lasted a little longer but overall no complaints.

This Dyson V15 Detect vacuum has been amazing. It picks up all the cat hair easily, and even though I have hard floors instead of carpets, it makes cleaning so much easier. I highly recommend it for anyone with pets.

Very useful cleaner for the house wife for cleaning any surface without making any electrical connection . Very handy and portable. I recommend every house owner to have it for keeping the house clean.

I never thought I'd say this, but I really like vacuuming now! The green light really captures every speck of dust on your floor. 10/10!

I didn’t expect a vacuum to impress me this much, but the V15 Detect + Dok really delivers. The laser dust light is wild — you see every speck, and it’s super satisfying watching it disappear. The suction is strong enough for carpets and pet hair, and the Dok stand is perfect for keeping everything neat. It’s pricey, but the convenience and power make it worth it. Easily the best vacuum I’ve owned.

Easy, especially with the new doc station! Easy switching of heads! Feels good knowing there’s a hepa filter!

Great hardwood floor head with green light that shows where the dirt and dust is, great feature!

I purchased this to replace a worn-out Shark corded stick vacuum. It is amazingly quiet and easy to use. I especially like the hardwood/vinyl flooring head as it has a green light to really allow you to see the dirt/dust. The Dok was easy to set up and let me hide the vacuum in an inconspicuous place without drilling any holes in my walls.

I purchased this vacuum to replace an older shark model and am very pleased with this item. The assembly was easy and it vacuums my steps much better than my old shark model. I am very pleased to have purchased this unit and would purchase again in the future if neeeed.

I did my research before buying. I knew it is on the heavier side, but the way the filter cleans won me, it is really convenient and easy to empty the dust collector. The station is nice and sturdy
