Q: Is the warranty the same as new
A: yes, 3 years
Q: Is this a line voltage thermostat? 120 volts.?
A: All of our thermostats are designed to work with 24VAC HVAC systems. If your HVAC system works with 120/240VAC (like baseboard heating), the ecobee is not compatible out of the box. Learn more: https://support.ecobee.com/hc/en-us/articles/227874607-Line-voltage-equipment
Q: Will it replace a 5 wire thermostat?
A: Hi there! For 5 wires most likely yes it really depends what those wires are. You can confirm by checking out ecobee's compatibility tracker here https://www.ecobee.com/compatibility/thermostat/
A: Hi there! Yes, we have a threshold to manually set the differential to help with efficiency and short cycling. You can learn more about it here https://support.ecobee.com/s/articles/Threshold-settings-for-ecobee-thermostats
Q: Is a c wire included in the package?
A: Hey there! If you’re lacking a C wire and have at least four wires at your thermostat to work with, the Power Extender Kit (PEK), included with your smart thermostat, can be installed at your furnace control board. This allows you to create a C wire using the existing thermostat wiring by combining the functionality of the Y and G into one wire.
Q: How do I keep the thermostat connected to wifi?
A: Once you connect it to your wifi, it doesn't disconnect. If there's a power failure to your thermostat or your wifi goes down, the thermostat will reconnect when the problem goes away. I have also read in their product description that if the wifi is out the thermostat will continue to run the current temperature setting.
A: ecobee does not work with Z wave. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.
