How do I keep the thermostat connected to wifi? null

Once you connect it to your wifi, it doesn't disconnect. If there's a power failure to your thermostat or your wifi goes down, the thermostat will reconnect when the problem goes away. I have also read in their product description that if the wifi is out the thermostat will continue to run the current temperature setting.

Once you connect it to Wi-Fi it should always be connected. Only thing I can think of besides a faulty device is that your Wi-Fi signal isn't strong enough or there's interference.
