After testing the Edifier S355DB across several music genres, I can honestly say the price is completely justified. The first thing that surprised me was the clarity of the sound. Even at higher volumes, everything stays clean, detailed, and well controlled without the frequencies blending together. The instrument separation is excellent: guitars, bass, percussion, vocals, and even small details in the recording are easy to distinguish. I tested them with rock, metal, electronic music, instrumental tracks, jazz, and other styles, and what impressed me is how well they adapt to different genres. They have plenty of power when the music demands it, but they also remain precise and detailed with more complex or delicate tracks. The subwoofer has real presence and depth without overpowering the rest of the mix. The bass is strong and satisfying, while the vocals and instruments still keep their own space. That combination of power, clarity, and separation is probably what impressed me the most. There is also a surprising sense of width and space in the soundstage. At times, if you close your eyes, it does not even feel like you are listening to a desktop speaker system. After listening to songs I know very well, I started noticing details I had never really paid attention to before. They are not cheap, but after hearing what they can do, I completely understand the price. For someone who truly enjoys sitting down and listening to music rather than just having sound in the background, the Edifier S355DB are worth every dollar.
