Q: Do these speakers have good definition at low volume and how much power do you need to achieve that?
A: Yes but choose a receiver with a decent power supply. I tried a low end Sony 7.2 with a small 240W power supply and wasn't happy. Upgraded to an Onkyo with 490W supply which drives these very well. I am very happy with them.
Q: The spec's on your web site say 6.5 woofers but the downloadable brochure says 5.25. Which is it ?
A: The DB62 are 6 1/2”. The DB52 are 5 1/4”
A: I used a two cube book shelf rated at 30,lbs each shelf. It does well, with a little modification for looks. Does not need any tie down.
A: One could fit in the dimensions you specified.
A: If you have a shelf or something sturdy enough to hold them, then yes.
Q: how many watts are the elac 2,0 bookshelf speakers
A: 120 watts
