I've had this cooktop for 11 months now and use it almost daily. I bought it because my small apartment was crowded with the standard stove and fridge. I have had no real problems with this. Rice and grains needs a little extra water to not burn before fully cooked. Once anything reaches boiling point, i turn the dial down past the low setting to the "WARM" setting and foods still simmer with a small boil. On the "WARM" setting, temperatures are sure to be still higher than the lowest flame, possibly due to there being a greater amount of surface generating heat than with a small ring of fire. My only complaint is the small burner never shuts off, even in the off position. It seems to be stuck at "WARM" which i've learned to use when first plugging it in for toasting bread. After around 8 minutes it'll darken bread to black within 8 seconds, which is excellent when I need spontaneous toast. On the small surface I can actually cook chicken on the "OFF" or "WARM" setting, even though the manual/instructions say it isn't possible

Good for the price, a side stove to heat food and keep your tea warm.

I bought this Elite Gourmet 2 burner unit when I didn't have a stove. I used it exclusively for all my meals. I use it now for camping trips and for big parties when I need to keep something warm/hot. It works great and I would definitely buy again if I needed another one.

Bought this for when I moved out into a studio that didn’t have a stove. It’s lightweight and it’s nothing fancy but it gets the job done. I don’t feel the dials for the heating are that accurate but it’s easy to figure out

Based on its value this is a good product, so far working fine

IT works... it's used in a little AirBnB suite I rent out, and this allows the guest to have a mini stove top! Recommended for sure, and great price!

Works fantastic, little 2 burner perfect for a tiny house or trailer/rv, price is very good and heats up quickly.

Does everything a cook top does yet with the freedom as long as you have a regular electric outlet.

This Buffet Burner looks really nice on my counter, but what I needed it to do, it doesn’t! The smaller burner takes for ever to heat, and the burner surfaces, both of them, discolored very badly after the first use. I used new, induction pots, the proper size for the surface, and they now have very light gray circles that can’t be removed. The entire base gets hotter than normal after I am using it for more than about 15 minutes.

Hello,
Thank you! for taking the time to review the Elite Gourmet Buffet Burner. Your feedback is very important to us and is greatly appreciated.
The smaller burner, I recommend covering the pot with lid to prevent heat from escaping.
Thank you again for your time!

This took an hour to cook rice and it still wasnt cooked all the way. I cooked a small pot of rice, it took so long to even come to a boil at least 30 minutes on the highest setting. On the larger one i was cooling a few vegetables. It took over an hour to make a basic stir fry and rice meal absolutely ridiculous.

I bought this unit to replace my Broil King single coil burner when it went out after 20 years of almost daily use. WHAT I LIKE: * The heavy cast iron burners - Before I owned my Broil King, I had a unit with stainless steel burners, of which badly warped after only a few years. I'm hoping the heavier cast iron will hold up better. * The unit has a matte finish which doesn't show splatters like a shiny finish does. * The knobs don't get as dangerously hot as my Broil King. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: * The cord is only 27.5" long (excluding prongs) & doesn't reach my outlet easily. * Indicator light constantly goes off & on during cooking (On 2 different pages of the user manual, it states "The power indicator light . . . will glow indicating that the heating element is turned on" AND "The indicator lights illuminate when the unit is turned on"). Nowhere do they tell you that the lights go off during cooking - this is dangerous if you are not paying attention to the temperature dial. * Unused side of burner gets fairly warm, though not enough to burn your hand. This is only a minor issue. HOW WELL IT COOKS: * Temps range from 1 to 6 but can be set anywhere in between. * Number 1 only gets warm enough to keep cooked food warm. * Number 2 took about 15 mins to heat a bowl of noodle soup. * Number 4 took about 20 mins to bring 6.5 cups of water to a low boil, just hot enough to cook pasta. * Number 6 (max) it took about 16 min to bring 6.5 cups of water to a full boil.
