Use to use right out of the box, easy to pair a second speaker, and the speakers have great sound.

Great as a pair in the backyard

This speaker is a worthwhile investment in your outside audio via bluetooth on your phone. I bought 2 to pair them (a bit of an experience in patience as it takes a moment to pair them) and my grandkids love the lights that that beat to and color changes. These are louder than some others I previously purchased and worth the money as they are well built. I hope they last with the solar charge panels.

Perfect Christmas gift. So far so good, loud enough and I bought two so they sync. Blend perfectly into my backyard.

good sound but didn't work the way i was hoping

so the speaker was good quality sound was loud enough a bit distorted at max volume, which was the issue. i was intending to use my internal Bose speaker to connect via Bluetooth to this speaker. this works for other Bluetooth speakers and from within the Bose app i can control the volume of all attached Bluetooth speakers to the main speaker via individual sliders. however the volume control didn't work and while connected to the Bose speaker only worked at max volume. there are no physical volume controls on the rock speaker itself so no way to turn the volume down physically. if there was a physical volume control I would have probably kept the speaker but opt'd to return it and try a different brand.
