A: Not exactly equivalent. Same dimensions. LR44 listed as 1.5V while 357 is 1.55V. Certainly should be within tolerance there. But the 357 is a low-drain battery. If you use the LR44 in something that drains the battery in days or weeks, you need a high drain battery, and should not use the 357.
