A: This charger is capable of charging 1-8 AA or AAA batteries at a time. Can also charge 1-4 D or C cell's at a time or 1 nine-volt battery also. The user manual can be viewed at: http://data.energizer.com/PDFs/chfc2-instructions.pdf I own several of these & use them extensively. Hope this helps!
Q: Why does it look like there is nothing in the box?
A: well there isn't. you have charger with its compartments and the power cord. the batteries are sold separately. you can't go wrong with it, I just bought another one for my father.
Q: my charger is now flashing blue and wont charge? what happen?
A: This is the way that the charger indicates a non-permitted circumstance, such as one cell being shorted, a mismatch of cell types, or the like. They don't say just how they implement this, but the charger charges cells in pairs, not singly. To make it work for three cells, I had to make a dummy ballast to add to the compartment where I have only one cell, and I still don't know if the charge current is right, but the error indication does not happen, so I hope that all is well.
Q: does this do 9 volt batteries and how do you know when battery is fully charged?
A: Yes it charges 9V, there is a battery peel indicator.
Q: Does this charger work for D cell batteries?
A: You should be able to charge D batteries as it does charge C just fewer than AA or AAA
Q: Does this unit charge 4 D cell batteries together at the same time?
A: Yes, you can charge 4 D cell batteries at the same time.
Q: This charges lithium batteries not NiMh correct?
A: It charges Energizer NiMh rechargeable AA,AAA,D,C and 9-Volt batteries.
