Vinyl LP pressing. This debut emerged as one of the most influential rap albums of the '90s. It laid the groundwork for the rebirth of New York hip-hop, an underground, hardcore new sound that went on to influence Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, and Mobb Deep, among others. Rap became at once theatrical and cerebral, MCs lyricists and powerhouses capable of violence, metaphor, humor and revolution in their performing. The album is full of hard, gritty beats, references to pop culture and martial arts, eclectic piano and string sounds, as well as surrealist overtones, and there truly was nothing like it in the hip-hop world at the time. Even now, it's an original album in a league of it's own. Get it. You won't regret it. Album Tracks 1. Bring Da Ruckus - Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan 2. Shame on a Nigga - Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan 3. Clan in Da Front - Wu-Tang Clan 4. Wu-Tang 7th Chamber - Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan 5. Can It Be All So Simple/Intermission - Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang Clan 6. 3-color sweetart marble effect double vinyl.. Originally released in 2004, MF Doom's MM. FOOD is hailed as a classic hip-hop album full of inventive production, remarkable wordplay, and unique themes. Celebrated for it's seamless blend of humor, wit, and social commentary, the album ushers listeners into a bizarre world of food-related metaphors, painting a bitterly comedic portrait of a life tainted by vice, violence, and jealousy. It was a brilliant and novel concept that gave DOOM plenty of room to explore the album's subjects. Throughout MM. FOOD, DOOM embeds complex ideas within seemingly simple narratives. Album opener InchBeef RappInch is a multi-pronged metaphor reminding listeners of the dangers involved in the glorification of conflict, especially within the rap game. InchHoe CakesInch borrows it's name from the sweet, hot water cornmeal patties, which he uses as a symbol to rhyme about indulgence and excess. Continuing the motif, he uses the Madlib-produced InchOne BeerInch to fold layers of depth about escapism and ego, while the popular InchRapp Snitch KnishesInch critiques the self-incrimination and contradictory behaviors of some rappers. Overall, MM. FOOD is both a social commentary and a piece of social satire, showcasing MF Doom's ability to blend serious themes with his unique, playful lyrical style. The 20 Year Anniversary Edition of MM.. FOOD has completely new artwork by Sam Rodriguez and is pressed on 3-color sweetart marble effect double vinyl. The package includes case wrapped tip-on gatefold jacket and a QR code that takes listeners to a one-of-a-kind AR diner. Album Tracks 1. Beef Rap 2. Hoe Cakes 3. Potholderz 4. One Beer 5. 2014 is the 20th anniversary of TICAL, the debut solo album of Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man, released November 15, 1994, on Def Jam Records. Similar to all first generation solo Wu-Tang projects, TICAL was mainly produced by group member RZA. The album features guest appearances from several Wu-Tang members including RZA, Raekwon, & Inspector Deck. The album was a commercial success, reaching number four on the Billboard 200, and number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. On July13, 1995, it was certified platinum. This success was driven by it's two singles, 'Bring the Pain' and 'I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By'.
