This printer review might seem different from what you'd expect due to how we use it, but bare with me. The Epson XP-4200 AAll in one Inkjet Printer has become a reliable tool that is efficently compact enough to be included in our "mini-office" that we pack to take to our winter condo, and user friendly enough to keep the stress out of setup when we travel there or to other events. My wife belongs to a philathropic organization, and bringing a real paper printer to events instead of a travel printer that uses thermal paper is a must have. This is our 2nd Epson, with the home office having an Ecotank printer. We trust the reliability Epson has afforded us, and we shopped for a printer that could handle the challenges of travel and variety of locations. Typical reviews say how good the print quality is in their home office, and my review is no different. Clarity, clean and precise imaging, and a machine I can count on to perform time and time again, flawlessly no matter when we set it up. It's a home printer that can be more than just that. Find room in your home office or your travel gear. If you pack it up, you won't regret not having to compromise quality for the limitations of a "travel printer. At home, it will provide quality prints while giving you the luxury of not taking up a large footprint in your home office.

Purchased this printer recently and it’s been working well for my home needs. Setup was quick and easy, and I was able to connect it to Wi-Fi and print from my phone without any issues. The print quality is clear for documents and very good for color prints considering the price. It’s compact, doesn’t take up much space, and the scan/copy features are convenient. Printing speed is a little slow and the ink doesn’t last very long, but for light everyday use it gets the job done. Overall, a solid, affordable printer for home or student use.

I’m an old dog and prefer to keep my old stuff working. So when my Epson NX420 conked out after 20 plus years I wasn’t excited about having to buy and install a new printer. I hadn’t purchased anything at Best Buy in years but I found myself at home in the store. They had several home printers to choose and the salesman was helpful and friendly. I went with the Epson XP4200 which was straight forward to install with the app. I did the wireless setup for the first time. It prints great and the control panel is easy to navigate. Epson is great quality and I appreciate being able to walk into Best Buy to get help and assurance with new equipment which I’m going to have for a while. Thank you. John E Dombroski. Stratford, CT

Easy to set up. High quality output. None of the subscription malarkey you get with HP. Highly recommended!

It was fairly easy to set up. It is more complex than my previous Epsom, though, as that one didn't require changing the setting for different materials. The display is an improvement over the previous one. This model is lighter, more compact and easier to move and position, and it works great for DIY business cards and the like!

This printer works great and I'm not that computer literate so I was a little worried about the set up. I read previous reviews before getting it because it was rated as an easy quick set up and the reviews were correct. It was very straightforward and easy to set up. The print quality is good. The display screen is on the smaller side still good to see. I also priced the cartridges prior to purchase and they are in a normal range with other cartridges. I would recommend this printer to anyone wanting a lower priced easy set up good quality printer.

If you are looking for a printer to use at home, this product is the best. If you use Canon for a certain period of time, a warning message saying that the printer head is not original appears and breaks down for no reason. For reference, I have used Canon printers for 20 years, and I thought it was simply a malfunction due to user negligence. However, I found out that almost all Canon printer users' feedback had similar problems.I threw away my Canon printer, which is expensive and does not solve the same problems, and decided on Epson. I am satisfied with the high quality at a low price.

For the price and size, this Epson printer is a great product! I use my iPhone to print, and it connects easily without any hassle. The machine makes clear, crisp copies, and I’m impressed with the overall quality. Compact, reliable, and budget-friendly—exactly what I was looking for.

I tried using the Epson Installer App with no luck. I was able to install using my PC and downloading the Epson installer that way. Reading info on the front display of the printer was interesting. Tiny print! I’m tall so it wasn’t great crouching down to read the display. I did finally get the printer installed on my 3rd try. It took awhile to recognize my WiFi signal. This is my 3rd Epson. Thus far - I am pleased. It’s compact so it fits nicely on my desk. Convenient! Time will tell. My last Epson lasted 23 years! I would have given 5 stars. Let’s say I give it 4.5 stars! The install for me wasn’t as easy at the previous Epson printer. I went from a USB connection to WiFi. I did call their help line. The CSA was very hard to understand. That was a zero experience. Eventually, my tenacity paid off. I do recommend this printer. In spite of my initial grumbling.

It has direct Wi-Fi which I desperately needed at my small office space. It prints quickly with little warm up time from being idle.

The Eason printer works great for basic print jobs, just a little slow.

I like that this printer is compact and fits nicely on the end of my desk. The print quality is good. My only problem with it is that the aromatic feeder does not work in scan mode. Nice little printer and price is right.

I bought this lovely little printer the other day after researching for portable printers and scanners for me to be able to carry with me in my car for work reasons. We own our own business and there are times I am out taking care of business and I need to print something and get it notarized and then scan it and email it back immediately. Well I don't always have that ability so I bought this little gem to make it possible for me to do just these things and it worked just like I wanted. I plug it into my 120v invertor into the lighter port in my car and then connect the mobile hot spot from my iPhone to it and bam I am printing and scanning like no ones business. I recommend this little Epson printer as an alternative to those crappy portable printer and scanner that cost an arm and a leg and doesn't look good either way, or even for the person with a small desk/work area without taking up much space at all.

I have used EPSON copiers in the past. I am retired and I use copiers to print mailing labels, recipes, duplicates of documents and things of interest. I chose the 4200 because it is easy to use, affordable and doesn’t take up much room. I'm happy to say it was a good purchase!

I own a small business and this does everything I need it to. Printing sale signs is easy and they come out great. I can also print from my phone and other devices connected to the same WiFi. The only downside is how often I go through ink, but it is easy to find it to purchase.

Awesome little printer! So simple to set up and for the price, it is beyond excellent! The regular size cartridges are decent, but will not last long if you are printing tons of pictures. I recommend the picking up the 232XL cartridges once the original cartridges run out. All in all, it scans, it copies and it even remote prints! Excellent bargain: better quality prints and less expensive than an HP printer that will stop working after a month.
