Q: Can you hook up external speakers and if so what kind of cables.
A: You actually can. I used a USB cord to connect to my Bose mini speaker for outdoor movies. The sound is great!
A: I ran the cable thru a cable box first. Then HDMI to projector. Cable box has audio out sources.
Q: Will this projector read all file types via USB?
A: I have a flash drive with just movies and it doesn't read it. But to get around that if you have a blueray player connect it to the projector and put the flash drive in the back of the blueray and it will recognize it from the blueray player

A: The lumens for this projector is 3000. I use this for work power point presentations as well as church lessons and can tell you that this has been a wonderful projector for me. The brightness is superb, even in a lighted room. I have been very happy with this.

Q: What is the best distance for picture quality on this projector?
A: The picture seems to be clear no matter how far you have it set up although going too far from the screen may cause distortion. I use a side panel from a white outdoor canopy as a screen, I set up the projector about 15 feet away from the screen the picture was clear and covered the entire canopy
