- Description: Limited 10 180gm vinyl LP box containing five studio albums by Eric Clapton Reptile, Me & Mr. Johnson, Sessions for Robert J, Back Home, Clapton and Rarities Volume II 2001-2010 (2023). Simon Climie, Clapton's long-time co-producer and engineer, oversaw these definitive remasters. To further elevate the audio quality, Me & Mr. Johnson (originally released as a single LP) has been remastered as 3-sided double albums - to ensure that no single LP side exceeds 20 minutes. (The album has an etching on side 4). A "bonus" LP of Rarities compiled and produced by Simon Climie is included and covers the same period as the box. Vinyl LP pressing. 2011 album from the Portland-based Alt-Rock/Folk band. The King Is Dead is a mostly-acoustic set of concise, Americana-based songs, that marks a deliberate turn towards simplicity after the band's wildly ambitious and acclaimed 2009 song-cycle the Hazards of Love. Produced once again by Tucker Martine, the King Is Dead features special guest appearances by Americana luminary Gillian Welch and legendary R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck. The album showcases the ways in which The Decemberists sound just as glorious in simple, stripped-down compositions as they do on the elaborate structures that have defined their work for years.
