Great story! They did a really good job with enhanced graphics. I was super happy they decided to make a 4k version of this movie. My old copy was on VHS.

Loved this movie. First watched it on Amazon Prime and instantly wanted to purchase it. Read up and watched some reviews on this 4K transfer and they've all been positive. I loved this film's noir and eerie atmosphere. Though it's a little dated and sometimes corny, Carpenter and Russell sure are a dynamic duo in making fun movies. I watch this film constantly! Well worth the wait and my money.

Best Buy shipping practices are unacceptable. My 4k came with a ripped cover, and completely snapped case. For a $25 movie I deserve an unbroken case. I am even more frustrated because they do not have the item in stock anywhere near me for a replacement….

My five stars are mostly for the intro music to this movie which is just... CLASSIC Is the movie good? Meh. I don't hate it and I don't love it. I'll probably pop it in after a long while and then not watch it for some time and rinse and repeat. Is it a movie I've wanted in my Library for a long time... yes.. yes it is. I can't explain my draw to this movie and I don't have to... well that intro music definitely helps, though. Give it a watch and you'll see what I mean. Crazy when you consider how old this flick is.

Great value on this classic definitive version of Carpenter's Escape From New York. Even if you don't have 4k(like me), it's a no-brainer for any fan of this cult classic. Loaded with great extras and commentaries, including a segment on the fx which I loved. Very happy to add this to my collection!

Shout Factory has done it again with this 4k release of John Carpenter's classic starring Kurt Russell. Such a good looking disc for such a low budget entry. All of the prior extras from the blu-ray special edition are found on the included blu-ray. A great disc set, another winner from Shout's Scream Factory line.

The 4K resolution is amazing on this film! I haven’t seen it since the 80s and that was on VHS. I feel like I was watching a different movie because of all the details I missed watching at a lower quality medium.

I have loved this movie since I was a kid. Had to grab it when I found it in 4K. Picture and sound are remastered well and are huge improvement over previous formats.

I love this movie! Has been one of my favorites for a long time! And had a crush on Kurt Russell. The only negative is I wish it had digital copy for my vudu.

Smart, fun, and totally cool. One of John Carpenter's best, and that's saying something! Snake Plissken is one bad you-know-what. Looks great in 4k, too!
