I own a Solo S3 and was pleased with it’s performance. Was looking for additional features on the S4, but we’re not significant. I do notice improved performance with additional detection available. Unfortunately the S4 tended to be more effected by neighboring radar detectors than the S3. Can be more annoying and not sure how to minimize.

Love to radar for my motorcycle especially since it cordless. East to mount and dismount as needed without having to worry about cables or getting stolen.

Picks up as planned. May be better to read a little sooner. Not sure yet. Only 1 trip.

Nice detector for having no wires to worry about. A few false alarms but worth the money.

This unit works on batteries, but gives the performance of a plug in model. No tangled power cords. and is easily adoptable when using when using multiple vehicles. Easy to use and reliable.

Appears to be a good product but around town constantly going off. Waiting to try it on the road.

The Solo is good ...I really like the fact that its cordless.

I love that there are no wires dangling and great size.

Good one to get if your looking for cordless, it could use a better face update though

Literally goes off on EVERYTHING... stores, car lots, specific vehicles. I really wish this was as good as my other, much older, one.

This radar detector is a waste of your money! Literally, the first highway patrolman we encountered was 4 car lengths away from us before the detector went off! Yes, I was pulled over for going 15mph over the speed limit. This is a short range radar detector, not long range whatsoever! So, if you are planning to go over the speed limit by 10-15mph, this is not the radar detector for you! I will be returning this one for the IX which is long range and has great reviews. I’ve definitely learned my lesson on reading reviews before I purchase a high priced item!

This radar detector has already paid for it self my giving me early warning of traffic patrol.

This detector went of all the time You could not tell false alarms or The real thing . Went off anywhere you traveled easy pass lanes

Escort is hands down the best detector I've ever used

This is possibly the best device when you are transferring from vehicle to vehicle. No need to worry about cords and charging cables. Keep two extra batteries in your case that it comes with and you are set for a safe driving excursion. This S4 is also very accurate with minimal false triggers.

I've owned and Escort S2 and S3. Great radar detectors. This radar detector is bulkier than the S3 and has awful styling with bright orange lettering splattered across it. Most importantly. The false radar alarms. The radar alarm goes off every 3-5 minutes. All false alarms. Total piece of garbage. I am returning it and going back to my old S3
