Q: Does this unit come with a 12v cord to plug into a cigarette lighter and a mounting bracket

A: Radar uses radio waves which reflect off of object so all radar detectors can detect radar from front and back. Our detectors with 360 in their name will detect radar from the back farther but the main feature these 360 detectors offer is directional arrows which point towards the radar source. It will reject some false alerts but our higher end detectors, such as MAX 3, MAX 360, MAX 360c, are better at this. It will only display your speed when connected via bluetooth to your smartphone running the Escort Live app.
Q: Is this device invisible for police radars?
A: It is not.
A: This radar will detect radar from a radar gun, I am not sure exactly the distance but it will be much higher than other brands. Speed cams and red light cams will pop up on your smart phone if you have the live alerts enabled.
Q: What are the various functions :auto, auto x no x ect
A: These are sensitivity (SEN) modes. They reduce false alerts to non-police radar. The no X settings reject X band radar alerts. X band is not used often today by police so some may want to disable it. You select the SEN mode by repeatedly pressing the SEN button.
Q: Does the x80 have a six audio out jack?
A: No, it does not.
Q: Does this also use batteries?
A: No, use a 12v cigarette lighter or wire it into a fuze that turns on and off with ignition.
Q: I have this product but its not working anymore,do i need to buy a new cable for it ?
A: Possibly, it may also be a fuse that blew in your car's fuse box connected to the cigarette plug. Try plugging something else like a phone charger into the plug in the car that you use for the radar detector, if it doesn't charge or turn on its the car.
