Event Horizon - 4K Blu-Ray [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray]

It's name Event Horizon. The high-tech, pioneering research spacecraft mysteriously vanished without a trace on it's maiden voyage seven years earlier. But a weak, persistent signal from the long-missing craft prompts a rescue team, headed by the intrepid Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne), to wing it's way through the galaxy on a bold rescue mission. Accompanying Miller is his elite crew and the lost ship's designer (Sam Neill). What they uncover is unimaginable interstellar horror.

Psychiatrist Claire Summers (Anne Hathaway) is given the unenviable task of counseling the few survivors of a horrific plane crash. Drawn especially to patient Eric Clark (Patrick Wilson), Summers blurs the line between professional concern and personal attraction only to find herself immersed in a spooky mystery once the survivors begin to disappear one by one. Eerie thriller co-stars Andre Braugher, Dianne Wiest. 93 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby TrueHD 5.1, French Dolby TrueHD 5.1; Subtitles English (SDH), French, Spanish; deleted scenes; audio commentary; featurettes. Two-disc set.

Based on the fantastical illustrated magazine HEAVY METAL, producer IVAN REITMAN enlists the help of some of Hollywood's animation masters to create the otherworldly tale of a glowing green orb from outer space that spreads destruction throughout the galaxy. Only when encountered by it's one true enemy, to whom it is inexplicably drawn, will goodness prevail throughout the universe. Richly and lavishly drawn, the vignettes of the orb's dark victories include the character voices of John Candy, Harold Ramis and a pounding soundtrack by Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Devo, Donald Fagen, Don Felder, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Nazareth, Stevie Nicks, Riggs, and Trust. Highly imaginative and full of surprising special effects, HEAVY METAL set the standard for alternative contemporary animation. An intoxicating experience not to be missed!
