About this product
Birdman Records is proud to be reissuing Invisible Men, the early space explorations of electronic music pioneer F/i. In the mid-80s F/i was on the cutting edge of electronic bombast, producing cassette tapes of late-night interstellar sessions to be traded world over with the handful of heads that were plugged into similar perambulations. As a linkbetween Throbbing Gristle and the Spacemen 3, this period of F/i has been woefully forgotten, until now. Later in the 80s, F/i would morph into Vocokesh continuing their space rock explorations. The 2LP set features founding member Richard Franecki, Brian Wensing and Steve Zimmerman, and includes the ultra-rare recording Air (produced around the same time as Invisible Men). For the first time on vinyl, a limited run of 500 copies will be released on June 26th. Album Tracks 1. 1. Untitled I 2. 2. Untitled II 3. 3. Untitled III 4. 4. Untitled IV 5. 5. Untitled V 6. 6. Untitled VI 7. 7. Untitled VII 8. 8. Untitled VIII 9. 9. Untitled IV 10. 10. Untitled X 11. 11. Air

Vinyl LP pressing. Nevermen is a leaderless trio made of Tunde Adebimpe, Adam InchDoseoneInch Drucker, and Mike Patton. They are artists of a certain distinction who've made name by way of sonic fearlessness, singular talent, and an ability to capture both adoration and imagination while hurling good noise at the void. This is neither side-project nor supergroup; it's merely meant to be - a years-in-the-making partnership in which these men shared all duties, discovering their collective sound with the sort of glee and freedom usually reserved for first-timers. Amid this wild, weird churn of rock, pop, rap, soul, and other, it's shockingly easy to lose track of who's singing at what moment, and that's the point to quote Tunde/Adam/Mike in song, InchThe frontman digests it's self.Inch Nevermen, the album, finds these three giants shredding their egos to get at the heart of why they do what they do, to explore the hopes and fears and wins and losses of anyone who carves career out of what started as dream.
