Customer Ratings & Reviews

This Sony XBR 900 delivers a 4K picture that is stunning. Incredibly detailed resolution makes for a totally new viewing experience! The jump from Bluray to 4K is as astonishing as the transition from DVD to Bluray all these years ago. Once you experience your favorite movies on a 65-inch 4K Sony 900 with HDR, you will not want to watch them in any other format.

Nice graphics, colors, and storyline. Interesting beasts and how to capture them.

Wonderful Experience! Another Terrific addition to The Wizzarding World of Harry Potter! This 4K disc is Awesome! with Brilliant 4K resolution, Sunning HDR colors and contrasts, and the Surround Sound is Remarkable! Dolby Atmos is truly engaging requirement! This is a Reference Standard Disc and a great addition to your Movie night collection. After watching this disc, streaming seems irrelevant! A must own for your repeated viewing pleasure.

First the movie was good. Not as good as the actual Harry Potter movies but this has great new characters and new stories. This review is really about the value of the the physical + digital movie bundle. I saw the movie and wanted to own it. This bundle is the best value there is because you get two physical discs and you get the digital copy. If you set things up right with Movies Anywhere and link it to iTunes you get the best digital copy as well. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I still like having a physical copy of my movies for watching when I'm off the grid.

Having never seen/read any Harry Potter I wasn’t sure how this would be, but I found it fun and interesting even without the background. I really liked Eddie Redmayne’s performance. I also found the audio mix to be above par with a lot of movement around the room. The visuals were very appealing as well and the HDR made some of the magic even more magical.

Fantastic Beasts is a new (and much earlier) chapter in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter centered around a young wizard by the name of Newt Scamander who accidentally releases some of his fantastic beasts on 1920's New York. It's a fun ride and interesting spin-off with some small references to events and characters from the previous films. Overall, the story and characters are entertaining and the effects are top notch, but maybe not quite as magical as the original Harry Potter movies.

I originally bought this movie for my daughter and I love you realized it has Atmos and the sound of this movie is incredible I ended up like in the movie itself too I originally bought this movie for my daughter and I will you realize it had dolby atmos and the sound of this movie is incredible I ended up Liking the movie itself to are

Extended universe movies can be a mixed bag - sometimes minor characters/subplots/references are better left unexplored. But Fantastic Beasts is an example of how to do extended universe right. It's a fun film, which evokes the magic of the Harry Potter series, while managing not to feel like a rehash. It doesn't step on / retcon existing character arcs / plot lines. And on UHD, it lives up to its name (i.e. it looks fantastic!). Definitely worth adding to the collection.

Fantastic Beasts is one of the few spin off projects I've actually enjoyed. It manages to retain the same magic, pardon the pun, of the Potter universe with great special effects, endearing characters, and an engaging narrative. If you're a Potter fan by any stretch of the imagination, you owe it to yourself to watch this film. Only reason I subtracted a star is because it sets up a sequel towards the end and I'm a strong believer that not every movie needs one.

Finally got to watch Fantastic Beasts and I was blown away with the 4K UHD quality. I've been purchasing blu-ray movies for the longest, but when I finally upgraded my home theater system, the first movie I bought was Fantastic Beasts and I'm extremely happy with this movie!!!!

Wanted to make sure I watch this again before Crimes of Grindelwald is released, which I didn’t have a chance to see in theaters. As a bonus, although the digital version included was technically expired, I was still able to access it. And, I got the 4K version for my next tv upgrade.

"Fantastic Beasts" is a good movie, but it lacks the structure that made the Harry Potter movies great -- every Harry Potter film was a standalone in a framework, each, except the last two, covering a year in school. "Fantastic Beasts" is filled with humor, emotion and great effects (No. 2 is darker) but it is obviously part of a series. Also, Dolby Atmos has to be chosen; it isn't the default sound.

I really had no idea what this movie was about. Me and my kids were looking for a movie for movie night and this is the movie they picked. We really enjoyed the movie; the special effects were great and Atmos sound is the icing on the cake.

One of the things I didn't like about Harry Potter was that the main characters were rather moody and unlikeable at times. This is not the case here. The main character is very likeable and his collection of animals is adorable.

This is an awesome Blu-ray 4K video with my Sony 4K player and 80" 4K LCD TV. Highly recommend it.

Magical creatures come to life in a story of magic and mayhem. The story line (pre Harry Potter) gives us insight into Harry Potter characters before they became famous and before Harry there was evil a foot.

The wizarding world lives on with Fantastic Beasts. I missed the Harry Potter series when it ended, but was happy to see another story in the wizarding world unfold. Must watch for Harry Potter fans.

So, I'm not a huge fan of harry potter but this series was much more enjoyable. Maybe because I can find more humor in it this time. Worth the watch, especially if you are a harry potter fan.

My kids are fans of the HP universe (as am I) and this version of Fantastic Beasts delivers on picture and sound. I personally believe most 4K movies are overpriced, but if you can get them when on sale, they are reasonable. I would recommend this as a good quality 4K version.
