This game was not initially on my radar until I started seeing people recommend it as an extremely entertaining title that had them hooked. It runs like butter on Switch 2 and will definitely have your attention. Great RPG with lots of variety and plenty to keep you entertained. Highly recommend.

If you played the 3DS Fantasy Life game, this is a bit of a side-grade sequel that loses a bit of the magic of the original; everything from gathering to crafting feels like it's a bit more mechanical, a bit less spontaneous. The combat classes are nice, but unlike in the original, I never felt like I needed to follow more than one Combat Life, and I stuck with it through the whole game. While neither story was particularly deep, FLi feels a bit childish and twee rather than cute fantasy. In general, it's a good game, and I really liked it, but I played 50 hours and felt like I had been done with it. That's a good, solid amount of time for a game, and I'm not disappointed, I just would have liked it to be a little more special. I would have preferred feeling a sense of "i'm glad I played that" instead of "i think i'm done".

Great game. The class system is fun and you can easily spend 100 hours on this one.

The perfect cross between top down combat and a cozy game providing a loop you'll have trouble removing yourself from!
