Primal, which plays much like the other titles in the FarCry franchise, has far and away the best, most complex rendering, not only of any title in the series, but also of about any game on the current market. Excellent story line, absorbing game play action and a truly gigantic open world. A solid month of gaming for a completist.

Whether you are a seasoned FarCry fanatic, or a newcomer this game will blow your mind!!! An amazing concept exploring this time period! Graphics are completely insane, gameplay is traditional FarCry combined with a new and refreshing arsenal of primtative weapons. With the open-world concept and multiple side-missions and engaging story I definitely felt I received my money's worth. I have 36 hours in the game and I'm still not 100% complete. I do admit at times (if your grinding away at side missions) the game can feel repetitious, but there are plenty of ways to occupy your time to break up the monotony. Go buy this game. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of my most played games because it's much different from the other Far Cry games, including another favorite of mine which is Far Cry 4. It takes place in prehistoric times where civilization is made up of different tribes where some are friendly and others that are hostile. There is a lot to do and many places to explore since the game world is huge. It takes time to complete missions for the Wenja tribe who you help fight off their enemies and assist them when they need help. There are no guns in this game which is a refreshing change. You use only weapons that would be available in that period of history such as bows and arrows, spears, clubs, slingshots, etc. You also can learn from other tribes about more advanced weaponry such as poison gas and fire bombs. You can also learn mystical powers such as beast taming and potions that will make you resistant to poisons and build up powers to help you complete the missions. There is also an owl that you will acquire which will act like a drone searching out and attacking enemies. The artwork is beautiful and is fun just to explore but unfortunately it is a hostile world where man and beast are trying to kill you. The sound is excellent with all of the different animal sounds and languages spoken by the different tribes. Controls are buttery smooth. Far Cry Primal is a game that will not be completed in one weekend but should be played as it was intended which is to enjoy the mystery and wonder of those times. Highly Recommended.

My fiance bought this game for herself on launch day. She's still playing it now! It might be a new record for her. MUCH better than Far Cry 4, love the setting and the introduction of tameable animals. Otherwise, it does play similarly to other Far Cry titles, as is to be expected. If you liked the formula in past games, you'll like this stoneage-themed addition to the franchise.

Wasn't really a fan of the Far Cry series, but the setting in this one pulled me in. It's pretty much Far Cry but with limited weapons and a bunch of animal friends. I got about 20 hours out of it...close to 30 after finding all the collectibles and maxing out skills and getting all the achievements. I'd say give it a go...but if you're not sold on the setting or don't really like Far Cry maybe wait for a price drop.

This is a really great game all around. The graphics are amazing and so is the story line. I feel like I can't put the controller down! If you like "The Forest" on Steam this is something a little bit similar with the crafting and searching for things, you can't build things though.

Love the farcry series but the 4th one seemed stale even though it was a beautiful game but farcry primal was a breath of fresh air instead of using guns your using prehistoric weapons and hunting mamoths wolves sabertooth cats or smilodons scientific name lol also prehistoric man some look like neanderthals. This game has a decent story line as well very impressed

Primal is different than what I expected not like any farcry game I've ever played before. The open world is massive and all the combat is hand to hand. That being said it is very challenging and fun. I've been a huge farcry fan for a long time would recommend it to any action fan or farcry fan.

Far Cry Primal delivers brutal and satisfying close-quarters combat, and the ability to tame wild beasts adds a great tactical layer to assaults on enemies. However, it’s held back by a basic plot, uncharismatic villains, and often bland mission objectives. Despite these flaws, the gameplay is engaging and makes it worth playing.

The graphics are amazing, the weapons are great, the taming animals aspect is something new and fun. I put about 25+ hours of game play to complete at 100% and wanted more and more. This is a single player campaign game as of now so if you want a game all to yourself, this is it. 5 stars all the way.

The story is great, I like that you have to do side quests in order to learn new skills etc. The graphics are beautiful, you will have fun hunting and taming animals.

I enjoy the amount of missions they have in the game. The story line is good. Taking the game back to 10,000BC was smart. Gives the game a fun twist to the Fall Cry series.

I've enjoyed this game quite a bit. It's fun going through a game with basic weapons. It makes it challenging.

This is a solid game. Same formula you are familiar with in all the other games in the series: capture bases, collect collectibles, capture towers, hunt animals. Just no guns, and with a pet. You get the impression that someone was so taken with the Shangri-la levels in FC4 that they decided that style of play needed its own game. I for one am glad they did.

This is a fun game. It takes awhile to get going but once you learn the mechanics and story line it is a good play. The one downside is that they always speak in cave people language. It makes it more authentic but you're always reading subtitles. I don't mind so much but you may.

I'm not sure if this is the best Far Cry game I've played, but if it isn't, then it's at least tied for first place. I wasn't sure how I'd like it at first, what with no guns or vehicles, but my mind was quickly changed. The game does have a bit of a storyline, though it's not really much of a focus. That said, you'll have hours of fun sneaking through the wilderness and setting your menagerie of attack animals on the bad guys. If you enjoy Far Cry at all, then you should enjoy this game.

The best thing that I like about this game, is the game control and graphics. The game is easy to play and understand
