Amazing Lens. I purchased this about to 2 years ago for real estate videography and it has not failed me. The image is sharp edge to edge with some slight distortion in the corners. The 1.8 is perfect for darker rooms. I also own the 16-25 G lens and that lens feels a bit tight for the guest bedrooms and tighter closets.

First super wide angle lens. Initially purchased for future real estate projects. Along with being lightweight this lens in has a fast aperture of 1.8, ideal for low light situations. Versatile prime, see photo examples below. The lens came with a lens bag and cover+a template for cutting out gel filters. Lines are straight even with the super wide, and distortion is minimal. Auto focus works wonders, I’d highly recommend this lens if you are looking for a creative, and wide angle lens.

This is a great ultra wide angle lens. I primarily bought this lens to take night launch pictures from KSC and learn to perfect my astrophotography with its low f1.8 stop. I did notice some minor fisheye in the corners (look at the trees in pic of the rocket over the building), but with a lens this wide, its hard to not have any and this GM lens does a fairly good job at keeping it to a minimum. All of my lenses are GM, but this was my first prime lens which I am still getting used to. I am very happy with this purchase and the only lens I would have passed this up for was the GM 12-24, but the price tag was too hefty to justify what I was going to use it for. See for yourself and you will not regret it if you buy this lens!! I also dabble in landscape photography so check out the sunrise pic.

Fast wide-angle lens. Amazing to make Northern Light pictures or just art pictures

This is one of my favorite lens for landscape and night photograpy

I recently purchased the FE 14mm F1.8 GM Full-frame Large-aperture Wide Angle Prime G Master Lens for my Sony Alpha E-mount camera, and I am absolutely thrilled with its performance. This lens is a game-changer for both professional and enthusiast photographers. Image Quality: The lens delivers stunning sharpness and clarity across the frame, even at the maximum aperture of f/1.8. The G Master optics ensure incredible resolution and detail, making my landscape, architectural, and astrophotography shots come to life with vivid colors and minimal distortion. Build and Design: Despite its wide-angle capabilities and large aperture, the lens is surprisingly compact and lightweight. It’s easy to carry around and balances perfectly on my Sony Alpha camera. The build quality is superb, with a robust construction that feels durable and professional. Performance: The fast f/1.8 aperture is perfect for low-light situations and provides beautiful, creamy bokeh for a wide-angle lens. The autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, thanks to the advanced linear motor. I’ve been able to capture fast-moving subjects with ease and precision. Versatility: This lens excels in a variety of shooting scenarios. From expansive landscapes to intricate architectural details, and even close-up shots with its impressive minimum focusing distance, it has quickly become my go-to lens for wide-angle photography. The weather sealing is an added bonus, giving me confidence to shoot in various conditions without worrying about the elements. Value: While it’s an investment, the performance and quality of this lens make it worth every penny. The images I’ve been able to produce are of exceptional quality, rivaling those from much more expensive lenses. The FE 14mm F1.8 GM is a testament to Sony’s commitment to innovation and excellence in lens design.

Phenomenal lens. Auto focus is amazing and fast when paired with A7RV. Fairly small and lightweight for what it is as well. Image quality is on point.

I have never seen a sharper 14mm (or wider) lens and the F1.8 max aperture along with many other great features make it a must have for ultra wide use on Sony cameras.

The lens itself is great. Pretty perfect size so it isn’t too front heavy and just feels balanced. The distortion is far less than I thought, even after my friend told me the distortion was barely there. Super great. I will say BB sort of screwed me on it. I returned a lens, they said it’d be sold as an open box for less. They found this lens for me, clearly the package was already opened and toyed with and I got charged full price. Such a tiny thing, but that will sit in my head from now on :(

This lens has been one of my favorite wide lenses. Built solid, no lens flare like I get with cheaper wide lenses when shooting indoor and the LED lights cause a flare you dont want.

Awesome lens so light and so great! I used this for cityscape and tight spaces also this is my go to video lens for real estate video! Also I use this sometimes for real estate photography!

Great lens, so far so good! Easy to carry and seems durable. I would recommend!

The perfect ultra-wide angle lens. So sharp, with shockingly small distortion at the corners.

Great lens for Galaxy photography. I was hesitant between tbe GM and Sigma’s 14mm 1.4 but the light weight of the GM convinced me.
