Its like a fine chocolate. You're going to spend more on something that tastes better and was harder to make. Does that make it better overall and worth that cost compared to other, similar "chocolates"? I don't think so. Two main faults, and a third small gripe will explain why. First, the grinder frequently just stops mid grind with a 30-40 gram dose. So I'll have to press the button again while it has beans in the burrs. Hardly the end of the world, but also leads to uneven grind - which is the entire reason for purchasing this upper mid level, costly grinder. Second, mid raost beans frequently get hung up in the hopper, again, the machine will stop. You have to kind of scoot the beans back into the chute. I thought this was supposed to be eliminated with gen 2? It is not, I assure you. Would the extra 1/2 inch of head height really crush the design? Just need the hopper slope to be a little more steep. Third gripe(s) is that the cord is very rigid, and difficult to hide. Its also quite long if your outlet is anywhere near the grinder. It just looks bad bunched up, no matter what you do with it. Which again, defeats the purspose of purhcasing this otherwise stunning device. Give me any kind of cord management at all, or at least make it easier to wrap around something else. The final nitpick, yet still valid, is the front plate rattles while grinding and makes it sound cheap, and super chinsey. That could be eliminated by constantly fiddling with the little rubber pads in there I guess. Should anyone have to do that a week into owning a 350$ cofffee grinder? Its not all bad though. It does have a satisfying clunk as the dial is turned. Its grinds well, about 1/2 the time when it completes the cycle. It looks amazing, even with the ridiculously hard to bend cord. Its very quiet, and grinds very fast. It will do 30 grams in less than 6 seconds on level 6.5 for an excellent pour over. The static is complely gone. For the money and the proposed function/deisgn factor, the grinder simply isn't there yet. I'm hopeful for gen 3. But serisouly, I was very excited for this grinder, and it really let me down. Give it another year before diving into this product, and try to find some videos on it that aren't sponsored. This is my own opinion, and regretably, I paid for this with my own money at full price with no kickback or other incentives. There are new, yet familiar frustrations with this simple dose grinder that for some reason, no one is talking about.

I ordered this and upgraded to the SSP Burrs and wow, the grinds are consistently uniform and the flavors the beans produce are retained even better than my hand grinder. HIGHLY recommended for any coffee aficionado that wants precision grinding consistently at a cafe level quality.

The machine itself is phenomenal. It doesn’t hesitate to get through coffee, is fairly low maintenance; and, most importantly, provides consistent grind size. My only gripe is that it requires any maintenance. It’s my first nice grinder and I’m kinda shocked at that.

Has produced quality coffee grinds daily. Looks great too. Have had a jam and was easy to follow the guidebook to easily resolve it.

The Fellow Ode Gen 2 grinder is a quality grinder. It is simple to operate and grinds coffee beans consistently. It is relatively quiet compared to most grinders. I wanted a single dose grinder to keep my beans fresher. The Ode 2 delivers.

[Employee of bestbuy] This thing is very fast and surprisingly quiet. After a lot of research and comparisons, I am very satisfied with the ode gen 2 after a couple of weeks usage. Grind is consistent and the profile is sleek so one less large kitchen counter appliance.

We have been grinding our own coffee for many years now and decided it was time to upgrade from the Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill. The Ode arrived and was packaged well and was easy to setup. It immediately jammed on the first use. The light jam removal did not work. The major jam remedy involved removing the front burr, which was easy to do. I was able to then run it again for about 5 seconds or so before it jammed again. I repeated the process and it happened a third time. I returned the product. I really enjoyed the weight of the build of the Ode and how quiet it was (when it worked). One thing to note is that I was running a very coarse grinding and a smaller bean. This may have been why it was jamming, but we are not interested in giving up our favorite locally roasted coffee. From what coffee it did grind, it appeared very even and I am sure the cold brew we make would have been great. 2-stars is labeled as "Fair" from BestBuy and even though I had to return it because of the jamming, what it did do, it did well. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this item.

I've been wanting to try one of these for a while. I use it for pour over and with a moccamaster coffee maker. The grind is consistent and very low grind retention.

Wonderful drip grinder easy to fit in to my routine. Wish it could do espresso.

Works great. Really enjoy the guide in the lid which tells you the grind settings for the different brewing methods.

Its a very quality made bur grinder and doesn’t have issues with static or clean up. The brush is absolutely enough to clean the burrs and the magnetic hold on the container makes sure you never make a mess

Very good pour over grinder. Was running SSP MP on a DF64 and this was very close and allowed me to switch the DF64 to espresso only.

This is the best decision I ever made despite not having an actual penny to my name. I love credit, but I love my fellow grinder even more
