I dont even have to open credit card offers to shred them, i just stick the whole envelope in, and it goes to work. I'm probably working it too hard, but I'm not sure, but it's doing the job, no problem, so 5 out of 5 for me.

For best performance, we do suggest opening envelopes first to ensure there are no adhesives or enclosed items that shouldn’t go through the unit, and to stay within the 12-sheet capacity. The panel lights that identify what function is in operation at a particular moment is deceiving. Because all 3 functions are lit. Be careful to watch the bin for over filling.

Much quieter then my old one, plus I can now just slide out the container without having to take the whole top off. I'm definitely pleased with the updates.

Our last shredder was a Fellowers we inherited from a friend we do not know how long they had it but we used it for about 20 years. Since the last one lasted so long we decided to buy another Fellowers shredder.
