Great game. Great remake of the original with quality of life upgrades to make the game a little more accessible to beginner players or players with limited time to game. I loved revisiting Ivalice on my switch, the portability made playing on the go great. I recommend this version.

FFT: The Ivalice Chronicles is such a beautiful story, and now reimagined with stunning graphics, animations, and full voice acting! While still having a classic mode to relive the original game!

This game is a bit slow paced at first but can suck you in with the story! Beautifully updated graphics but still an old school feel.

The game is fantastic, very well written story, it does play well on the switch but it’s not a very demanding game. If you like these type of games I would definitely recommend.

Final Fantasy Tactics is one of those rare games that completely earns its reputation. The combat is endlessly rewarding, the job system is deep in a way that invites curiosity instead of punishment, and every battle feels like it actually matters. But the real reason this game sticks with you is the story. It’s mature, political, and quietly devastating, trusting the player to keep up rather than spelling everything out. The music, art, and writing all come together to create something timeless. This isn’t just a classic. It’s a perfect game and a remaster done right.

This game is fantastic. Taking the originally a ps1 classic, updating the graphics, adding Voice Dialogue and a much better translation, overall elevates the experience to a much higher premium level. If you're a fan of Tactics inspired strategy games, this one is a must buy. Choppy camera controls still bog the experience, but overall its easily ignored for a simply amazing tactics remastered experience. New and Old fans alike will absolutely love this one!

The story remains one of the strongest ever told in gaming: mature, political, and deeply human. Intrigue, betrayal, and moral ambiguity unfold with incredible depth, making Ivalice feel alive and consequential even decades after its original release. The enhanced presentation on Switch 2—clean visuals, refined character portraits, and improved performance—does justice to the narrative without losing its classic charm. Gameplay is as brilliant as ever. The job system is endlessly rewarding, offering meaningful customization and strategic freedom that few games have matched since. Battles feel deliberate and satisfying, with every decision carrying weight. Quality-of-life improvements make the experience smoother while respecting the original design—no unnecessary hand-holding, just thoughtful refinement. Playing this on Switch 2 is a dream. Handheld mode feels perfect for tactical battles, while docked mode showcases the game beautifully on a big screen. Load times are fast, controls are responsive, and the experience feels tailor-made for the system. Ivalice Chronicles isn’t just a remaster—it’s a reminder of why Final Fantasy Tactics is considered one of the greatest games of all time. Whether you’re revisiting a classic or discovering it for the first time, this is an absolute must-play.

I went in with some bias, as Final Fantasy Tactics has been my single favorite game since its original release almost 30 years ago. That said, I find it very safe to say of all the editions and releases this truly is the best way to experience this glorious masterpiece. In a departure from most Final Fantasy titles, Tactics features a more political storyline than most and it doesn't even attempt to hide or shy away from any of its message, but it tells it with one of most enjoyable narratives in the series and a cast that despite their cartoonish appearance that make forming an emotional attachment for better or worse very easy. It also maintains the most just plain fun battle system of the series, with turn based tactical battles where you tinker with a myriad of character customizations and go wild unleashing your party of characters and/or monsters. Also the reason I call it the best version: Aside from a lot of quality of life improvements like the ability to leave a battle that's going poorly or restart a character's turn, tis version adds some really good voice acting Lastly, if you're really attached to getting the experience you missed back in the 90s, the original game is also on the cartridge. But as a whole, the new release keeps the overall experience intact and only enhances the experience rather than make any drastic changes as the FF7 remake does so it's great for both newcomers and nostalgia players alike.

really good remake of a classic game with alot of enhancements along with voice acting. if you want this to keep physical media, get the switch 1 version and use the switch 2 free upgrade on the eshop. if you can still find this on switch, its a must have as i had got the last one this store had.

Wonderfully redone for the switch it's been enjoyable good graphics for a remake. If you enjoy older game and love the final fantasy games this is a good choice I do would recommend it. Would be good game for anyone who likes longer playing games this takes a while to play thru.

When i was young this game was hard for me, but now that I understand that you have to keep all character similar level it was problem passing it. Great Voice acting, Great job skills, and challenging gameplay.

Big fan of the original 1997 release, and this remaster brings great voice acting and many quality improvements to the game. Looking forward to potential War of the Lions content as a potential DLC.

Better graphics, better sound, but would have liked if they added more to environment. It’s still the same old plain terrain tiles with little or no art

Has always been my favorite Final Fantasy game. I'm very happy that this game is finally getting the attention it deserves. Originally on the PS1, this now new expanded remaster takes you back to the world of Ivalice. For those entering the game for the first time, it may feel a bit slow at the beginning. But I believe with the updated script and story, fantastic voice acting (both ENG and JP), and an even options for difficulty, this game is definitely worth the countless hours of gameplay. Experience what has made Final Fantasy Tactics known as a Masterpiece.
