I’m an so glad they did the remake of the original PS version and not the PSP version smooth gameplay. Graphics are much more smoother than before. The voices are perfect addition for new or old gamers who want to dabble with this awesome tactical game. Yes the original version is added to this game.

Best strategy game ever, get this game before it's too late

As someone who played the original release of this game on the PS1 back in the nineties, this is an 'incredible' blast from the past! Clear, new content, ease of controls, 4K UHD display, and voice acting makes this a 'highly' enjoyable game for me! Five stars!

wow! this is the best version of final fantasy tactics i've ever played. everything i love about the game is here, in-tact. but it's more accessible than ever due to the newly added difficulty settings, ui refresh, and menu optimization. and as a bonus, the platinum trophy does not require a playthrough on hard difficulty mode. 5/5

First of all, an amazing game. And the QoL improvements as well as voice acting is superb. And there’s a classic mode to closely mirror the 1997 version. If you love tactical RPGs, add this to your collection.

Final Fantasy Tactics had always been my favourite video game. I was nervous and excited when they announced this remake, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The improved visuals, enhanced audio, and voice overs are great, and the game keeps its original style, combat, and feel.

They already made a great game even better. This is remaster is very much improved from the classically released game from the original PS1 copy or even the PSP War of the Lions version. Many quality of life changes making this game a blast to play. The voice acting is also great and further enhances the depth of the story.

Love the game. The story is just how I remembered it. I love the new features and mechanics. Best nostalgic feeling ever!

Jumped back into Ivalice on PS5 and man… this game still hits. The job system is still one of the best in any strategy RPG, and the new quality of life updates (auto-save, better menus, smoother navigation) make it feel modern without losing the classic vibe. Amazing game!!

Man, this remaster is everything longtime fans were hoping for. The visuals got a nice upgrade in that they're cleaner and sharper, but still totally keeping that classic isometric vibe. The music sounds incredible too; the remastered soundtrack really pulls you into the world of Ivalice all over again. Gameplay wise, it’s just as deep and strategic as ever. Building out jobs, planning moves, and pulling off perfect combos still feels super satisfying. The new quality-of-life tweaks like faster loading and quick battle options make a huge difference without dumbing anything down. The story’s still slow to start, but once it hooks you, the political drama and emotional depth hit hard. Bottom line: if you loved the original or just want a smart, challenging strategy RPG, this is an easy recommend. Score: 9.5/10. Old school tactics with a shiny new coat.

They don’t make them like this anymore. Final Fantasy Tactics is an outstanding tactical RPG from 1997. This remake is just about perfect and everything you’d want to see is here. If you’re new to the game, don’t worry as there’s a lot of information out there if you need it, but it’s worth the discovery of just playing it and figuring out the best strategies for yourself. It’s one of those “one more battle” at 1am games that is very easy to get hooked into. If you’re thinking about it? I say buy it.

This game was amazing when it first came out and is even better with the voice overs and cleaner resolution. Highly recommend to anyone who played the original or wants a challenge.

This is a faithful remaster of the original Playstation One Final Fantasy Tactics! As such it does not include any of the jobs and characters added to Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Love the addition of the voice acting.

This is a great game. I love the remake of it and have definitely loved playing it with the upgraded mechanicsa and graphics. One of my favorite FF games in a long time.

If you want to play this game and you played the prequels before on previous platforms, the changes in game play and adjustment in difficulties is really nice + the extra features.

If you’re a fan of deep strategy RPGs, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a near-perfect pick. The story is rich, the characters have real weight, the job system is still one of the genre’s best, and the PS5 version brings in modern quality-of-life tweaks that make it accessible for newcomers.

A remake done well, the story is fast paced and charming and has proven even old TBS games done well will withstand the test of time. For those seeking a greater challenge you will find it in Tactician mode. And there are even a few suprises for veterans as well.
