FF7 rebirth is just an evolution of what remake started in the best ways possible, you have more attacks, weapons, and characters you can play as. While at first I though the switch 2 version would be a lot worse then my ps5 version it’s honestly not the case, yah it’s not 60fps and the resolution is lower but it still feels amazing to play. I’m really glad I got this because now I have a version that is portable and can take anywhere. Also side not but I’m glad I got it here because it came at launch so that was a plus. But yah it’s a really good game, if you like action RPGs then you have to get it, the story, characters, and environment are just amazing. Combat has so much depth and layers so your always looking for more way to mix and match party members and equipment. I truly can’t recommend it enough.

I had doubts this game would run well on the Nintendo Switch 2, but to my surprise it runs great! The frame rate isn’t bad , holding 30fps without drops and the image quality looks good.

You’ll get a lot of game for a little money with this title. I do sincerely dislike that this is a game key card but the game is element and well worth your time if you’re a FF7 lover.

I bought the first game and was blown away away and now this one has even most amazing gameplay and features to it. I definitely can’t wait til the third part comes out next year. I’m so happy Square Enix brought this to Switch 2.

I love FF7, so that I will love this game. I got it on a discount, and that price is honestly where this game should have started. There is a lot of hand-holding, as if the game were made for kids, but there is also content that might not be the best for children. I play just for the nostalgia and look forward to part three releasing so I can finally have a complete FF7. Getting the MTG card was nice.

I have thìs game in the ps5 and ps5 pro as well as the switch 2 now. While the ps5 pro version is the best version of thìs game and seems the system was made for it specifically it runs as good as pc if not better and smoother and you have to do many mods on pc to get it running well. The switch 2 version seems like the ps5 original version when locked at 30 fps, with actually a little more clarity because the original ps5 version was a little bit fuzzier visuals in my opinion. The biggest difference in the switch 2 version is that they just took away some physical objects out of certain areas in the towns and busy places to make it work and run well on the switch 2. We are mostly talking about some less NPC’S in areas, or less tables and chairs, trees, bushes in some largely condensed areas but it is not to the point where it makes the game look completely barren in anyway, and if you never played in on another system you really wouldn’t notice because these compromises only help make the game run very smooth for a small handheld system. All of the main aesthetics, the main character's models, enemies, art direction, world building, and main story elements of the game are amazing and bring you on the adventure you are meant to experience. Also the combat is simply amazing and still very smooth in thìs version of the game as well, the combat system is still one of the best created in my opinion, the fact that it is both action and and turned best at the same time and you can choose to play it both ways or one way either hot keys for abilities for action or command menu switch in real time while in combat is simply amazing, and doing the slow motion while selecting a command if you want to is icing on the cake. The story, the characters, and the way the characters dialogue’s are interacting with eachother is the best representation of these characters sense the original game in 1997 and thìs while remake trilogy is brining together the whole compilation of the final fantasy Vll in thìs three part remake series in the best ways. I would highly recommend playing the first part which is FF7 remake intergrade, then diving into thìs world of rebirth. The first part, remake intergrade is more like a tight corridor yakuza type of experience and rebirth is the more open world concept while showing you what a lot of ff7 world has to offer. Both of these game are amazing and a perfect way to get ready for the third and finally part of this trilogy FF7 Revelation which will be the full realization of this series and utilizing the whole world and resolve this whole series for next spring of 2027. If you love rpg’s, final fantasy, action combat and just an amazing story and great characters in entertainment, you could dive deep and inter-pert the story of ff7 with a lot of aspects of the real world we live in today or see how everything connects sense the original in 1997, it’s an amazing experience and Hopfully more people get to really enjoy thìs experience of one of the greatest games ever made, not saying it is perfect and it had its criticisms but the amazing parts of these games is transcending!!!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a remarkable continuation of Square Enix’s ambitious remake project, expanding the world and characters of the original game in ways that feel both fresh and faithful. Picking up after the events of Remake, Rebirth takes players beyond the confines of Midgar into a sprawling and vibrant open world. The level of detail in the environments is stunning, with lush fields, bustling towns, and iconic locations brought to life with modern visuals and a cinematic scope that enhances the sense of adventure. The gameplay balances real-time action and strategic combat beautifully. The combat system, refined from Remake, allows players to fluidly switch between characters and execute powerful abilities, while the synergy attacks add an exciting layer of teamwork. Each party member feels distinct, with unique abilities and playstyles that encourage experimentation and strategic thinking. Character development is one of Rebirth’s strongest aspects. Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and new playable allies have more time to grow, with expanded side quests and interactions that deepen the emotional bonds between them. The voice acting and motion capture further enhance the storytelling, making both the lighthearted and dramatic moments resonate. The narrative keeps its core themes intact while introducing new twists that will surprise even longtime fans. Rebirth leans into the mystery established in Remake, cleverly balancing nostalgia with fresh storytelling. Some of the new narrative choices may be divisive, but they successfully keep the experience engaging and unpredictable. The soundtrack is phenomenal, blending reimagined classics with new compositions that perfectly capture the tone of each scene. From adrenaline-pumping battle tracks to serene exploration themes, the music elevates every moment. Minor criticisms include occasional pacing slowdowns during side content and some technical hiccups in larger areas. However, these are small blemishes on an otherwise exceptional experience. Overall, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a stunning blend of modern gameplay, heartfelt storytelling, and reverence for a beloved classic. It stands as both a love letter to the original and an exciting reimagining that sets up an unforgettable conclusion to the trilogy. Score: 9.5/10

Haven’t finished it yet, but a fantastic remake of a legendary game. The opening recap, gameplay and active battles are excellent improvements. It pushes the switch 2 to it’s limits and it handles well.

Love this game, but not as much as Remake. The open world concept and fetch quests make for a good game, but it feels a little like it’s trying to be Breath of the Wild, just the open worlding is nowhere as good.

While its not 60 FPS it runs well. The game itself is an amazing story, this port while not the best is a great portable version. If you want to play this portable then definately get it on Switch 2, if you want the best looking version at a higher frame rate get it on PS5. That said if Switch 2 is your only console then this port does not disappoint at all.
