Q: Is it safe to do smores , when using this fire glass in my fire pit ?
A: Hi Nora - there is no food-safety issue with using this fire-rated glass in a gas firebowl. You will want to be mindful of any melted marshmallow falling into the glass or onto the burner. If any sticky food falls into the glass, after the firebowl is completely cool, remove any contaminated pieces and carefully clean or discard. If it falls onto the burner, immediately turn off the unit and allow to cool completely, then clean the burner according to instructions found in the owner's manual.
Q: How much do you need to glass to fill it
A: Hello - most people find that approximately 20 lb of fire glass will fill FireSense burners sufficiently.
A: Hello Don, no fire glass should only be used in LPG fire pits and you should never put any combustibles in a LPG fire pit.
