Chevy Chase is perfectly cast as Irwin Fletcher, a wise cracking newspaper reporter working undercover on a beach to expose a drug running operation. As he looks into the local drug traffic, only to get caught up in insurance fraud, police corruption, embezzlement and another man's suit. At the same time, he is mistaken for a junkie by shady millionare Alan Stanwyk (Tim Matheson) who asks Fletch to murder him. Fletch agrees but launches an investigation into finding out why this man wants to be killed. This isn't lowbrow humor, it's quick witted and very fast. This is one of Chevy Chase's finest performances!

Just watching Chevy Chase in his various disguises, spouting his various pseudonyms is funny enough. FLETCH embodies an era of comedy that is all-but over. Although it often feels like Fletch is winking to the camera throughout, he doesn't really cross that line. A funny story that doesn't utterly depend on whether or not you can catch a bunch of pop culture references.

This classic, if that can be said of a film shot in the 1985, is a hilarious look into the life of investigative reporter Irwin Fletcher or Fletch as he prefers to be called. The story involves drug dealing, murder for hire, crooked cops, romance and a huge amount of laughs along the way.

I'm not kidding. This is a classic comedy. The price on blu-ray is amazingly low. If you haven't seen Fletch you're missing out on one of Chevy Chase's masterpieces (Spies Like Us is another, but that's for another review). The second movie in the series is also worth a look.

Chevy Chase is an investigative reporter who latches on to the curious case of a wealthy, successful man who wants to be killed. I think this is Chevy's best movie, tailored to his comedic skills, and is still very funny several decades after I first saw it.

It's always nice to see that a classic film from your youth holds up well, and this is definitely the case with Fletch. Chase is very charming and convincing as the fast talking reporter looking for leads like a dog after a bone. Well worth a re-visit.

Fletch is a pretty funny mystery comedy with Chevy Chase. The role of a private detective suits him perfectly, giving him a chance to create multiple eccentric comic characters while trying to find out why a man hires Chase to kill him. Looking forward to watching it again soon.

I grew up watching this movie on cable. Watched it 10 times over a summer, and loved every minute of it. Chase was perfect for the role. Great 80s synth music, quickly paced. Blu Ray is great quality

One of Chevy Chase's most iconic roles, this comedy still stands up after all these years. Next time you're eating out, tell the waiter to put it on the Underhills'. This is a very funny film, the jokes still work and you can quote it for years.

I purchased Lampooms Christmas Vacation last year and decided to give this a shot. This movie was hilarious. It has a lot of witty comedy and never gets boring watching over and over again.

Fun 80's comedy but none lol funny. Still managed to entertain though. Picture and sound are both serviceable, but not the type of stuff to wow your friends with your setup. I only paid 5 bucks for this and I'm glad I picked it up.

This is a great movie. It came with a digital copy for iTunes and it was cheaper to buy the blu-ray movie combo than it was to buy the digital copy off of iTunes. Great deal on a comedy classic.

A classic comedy with endless rewatch value. Disc isn't anything special, but it's good to have a movie like this to throw on often

A 1980s Los Angeles Times reporter trying to find out about drugs on a local beach and gets propositioned to murder someone because they think he's a junkie. Great one-liners, Chevy Chase in his comedic prime.
