Great Mat

This works so good on our medium depth carpet. I have had so much trouble locating a good quality chair mat and this is it. I’ve only had it about a month so not sure yet on longevity

Best floormat I've had

After trying a few other cheaper floor mats which were all disappointing, cracked and creeped across the carpet too easily. I decided to spend a few extra $$$ and got this one. It's been great from day one. Yes, it still creeps slightly, but very, very slowly. The material feels like it will withstand cracking much better. Definitely worth the few extra bucks over the other, cheaper alternatives.

Lasted about 2 months before extensive cracking

I paid more for this because I'd read that polycarbonate is supposedly more durable than polypropylene, like my previous chair mat, which had cracked badly. This chair mat lasted only about 2 months before it started to crack. I've had it about 4 months now, and it's cracked almost as much as the mat it replaced, which I'd had for about a year and a half.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback on our Cleartex Ultimat, we are very sorry to hear that your mat has begun to crack after such short use. This polycarbonate mat is exceptionally durable and holds twice the impact strength compared to traditional PVC chair mats. The Floortex Ultimat has been tested to withstand weights up to 250 pounds, which includes both the weight of the chair and user. To avoid the mat from cracking, we recommend only placing your office chair with plastic wheel casters on the mat and no stationary furniture (i.e. desks or chairs with four legs) as this can create pressure points in the mat, which can cause it to crack. This particular mat is only suitable for carpets up to 1/2 inches thick including the carpet underlay, placing the mat on plush pile carpet may lead to cracking as the mat is unable to support its weight.
For a more durable mat, we would recommend upgrading to our Floortex Megamat. This mat is still made from polycarbonate; however, it is thicker than the Ultimat and comes without carpet grippers due to the thickness of the mat. The thickness of the mat also allows for use on all pile carpets without cracking as well as allowing for increased weight capacity (up to 500lbs) and added durability.

Quality mat

Quality mat for my office chair. Respect the instructions when cutting the plastic that has it rolled up. The material springs flat quickly. Best part is that it goes completely flat without curling on the ends. Highly recommend!
