With regards to taking multiple temperatures in a short period of time on the same individual, take measurements at least one minute apart for best results. Your hand can affect the temperature results if used continuously. We recommend a maximum of three measurements for each session. Please refer to the user manual for temperature taking tips which can be found on pages 2-3 and page 8. Kind regards

A: Good day Madam, Thank you for your interest in our FLTR product. The infrared thermometer is an electronic instrument that provides a measurement of one's temperatures by means of detecting the intensity of thermal radiation emitted naturally by the skin of the forehead. All objects emit infrared radiation based on it's temperature. The amount of radiation energy emitted and the distribution of the wavelength are related. An infrared thermometer calculates a measurement by factoring in the distance between the thermometer and the person's forehead, to determine temperature. Infrared thermometers do not send infrared light, wavelengths, or emit radiation back into any part of the human body, internal and external. Infrared Thermometers do not use lasers and therefore there is no risk to the user’s eyes when using the device. Therefore, infrared thermometers do not pose a risk of harm on humans.
