The pad is above average in quality and is easy to maintain. I've used other brands such as Perixx, Corsair, or the somewhat famous/notorious(?) Pad-Zilla from mousepads.com and this Fnatic pad lies on the above average compared to comfort, useability, material, quality, and maintenance. The surface seems to be a smooth polyester-like cloth material and the bottom is made of a semi-firm aerated rubber and foam mix. Of the over 20 gaming mice in my collection (I'm a reviewer of computer components), all have no issues with the surface even before training the mouse onto the pad with software. There was no fraying on the edges of the pad from a 1 minute test of running my thumb across the edge. The surface did not lose its weave and did not fray from a 1 minute test of running the edge of a razor blade across the fabric/cloth surface. I peformed 2 dry spill tests and 2 wet spill tests. Spilling crumbs and small seasoned particles from snacks was easy cleanup that left no stains. Spilling powdered sugar required a vacuum cleaning to get completely clean whereas Perixx or Kingston (HyperX) mouse pads did not really require a vacuum cleaning for the powdered sugar test. I do believe this was is due to a looser weave of the fabric/cloth. The first wet spill test was with water and the pad, as most other polyester-like cloth pads, was resistant to the spill initially for a few seconds before soaking up the majority of the water. The second wet spill test was with something that had sugar, phosphoric acid, and carbonation - a caramel soda (I can't name the brand for legal reasons). This Fnatic Focus 2 Desktop pad performed about the same as other pads in that it initially resisted the soda for a few seconds before soaking up the soda. This pad soaked up the soda faster than the water and cleaning with a rag was ineffective. This test required more detailed cleaning. The cleaning test was done with a front-loading HE washer (high efficiency washer) from Samsung. The pad was clean and no stains were visible from the soda test or the powdered sugar test. This pad required around 9 hours to air dry over the shower curtain rail with the bathroom ventilator on (for air circulation, to promote drying). This is about the same as other brands in terms of washing and drying. Do NOT dry this mouse pad in a clothes dryer! I re-performed my 1 minute thumb test and 1 minute razor blade test after the washer cleaning and air drying. No frayed edges or loosening of the weave occurred. Overall, this is a good mouse pad for the price. I paid $19.99 for this pad. For the price, it is an excellent deal. The price-to-performance ratio of this pad puts it near the top of other desktop-sized mouse pads I have tested over the last few years. The performance is about a 6 to 7 out of 10. The price is 9 to 10 out of 10. Hopefully this gives y'all a sense of perspective on this Fnatic Focus 2 Desktop mouse pad.

A very large mouse pad that covers my whole desk. Seems to be made of a nice material that should last. A great upgrade from my Hyperx fury mouse pad. Would definitely recommend.
