This movie is a thrill ride. Just when you think you know all there is to know about the Ford Motor Company, Carol Shelby, or the car they made together, this movie goes into detail with a storyline that is captivating and entertaining, with a heaping helping of twists and turns. I highly suggest this movie for any car enthusiast who likes movies about fast cars, and the Men who designed them, and the men who drove them.

Gentlemen and Ladies - start your Blu-Ray players!!! Great movie, not only for race fans ("gear-heads", like myself). Tells the story of Carroll Shelby (who I've been familiar with for some time) and Ken Miles (who I'm now familiar with because of this film) -- and how they teamed up to help Ford beat Ferrari at the world famous LeMans 24 hour race. Fantastic character study with spot-on acting and story telling (not to mention very realistic racing scenes). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Growing up my father only bought Fords and one of them was a 64 1/2 Mustang. On the weekends I would go with him to the stock car races. For me it brought back a lot of memories. If you like auto racing of any kind I think you will enjoy the story about the two automobile makers and how competitive men can be to be number one.

Since they had to keep the movie short several other important racers are only mentioned in passing or cameos but it shows the gritty nature of racing and two men who are legends in my soul, Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles.

This is a very good movie about how Ford took on Ferrari in earlier days of car racing. The movie is about both the car races, the companies, and the people the scenes. Both Matt Damon and Christian Bale excel in their performances.

Instant classic! A must add for your collection!!!

Wow, what a European Style Formula-One Auto Racing flick – its’ challenges and frustrations, the need for self-worth and yes – the absolute joy of winning big! Both Damon and Bale get it right as-well-as they very effectively playing-off each other – they were nothing less than superb! The real beauty of this film is that it catches the spirit of the racing team members and their individual special uniqueness. A driving team has got to believe in their personal as-well-as their teams’ self-worth to collectively capture that “perfect-lap” and win – it’s all about winning. This film grabs the heart and sole of high risk car racing – it’s the sweet smell of gasoline, tire rubber burning, brakes squalene , the sound of up/down transmission shifts, motors riven, all the shaken going on, and yes the great feel of win ’en. The real bottom line – without question this film delivers both a quality and pleasant viewer experience

I am not a fan of racing or NASCAR, but I do love certain racing movies. "Rush" is in my permanent video collection, and I also enjoy watching race-themed films like "Talledega Nights" and "Grand Prix." "Ford v. Ferrari" is, arguably, the best of the crop. It snagged some Oscars earlier this year for its technical mastery and competed for Best Picture. Matt Damon and Christian Bale are the two leads, and they deliver the kind of solid performances that you expect, playing real life racing legends Carrol Shelby and Ken Miles. They are hired by Ford to wrest the coveted trophy of 24 Hours of Le Mans from rival Ferrari against long odds. "Outlander's" Catriona Balfe gives effective support as Bale's exasperated wife. This was one of 2019's most entertaining films.

The Ford vs Ferrari Blu Ray disc was available the day I ordered it. It was well packaged and in prime condition. It was a Valentine’s Day gift for my husband; he was so pleased and surprised to have this movie. (Yes! Definitely a fine Valentine’s Day gift for my sweetheart.) Mart Damon as Caroll Shelby and Christian Bales as Ken Miles, were outstanding. The cinematography was superb in that I felt right there, driving those cars. Had no idea that LeMans was a 24 hour marathon. I loved this movie for its insight into both Enzo Ferrari and Henry Ford, II.

This is one of my favorite all time movies. I buy maybe 1 hard copy movie every 2-3 years and this was a must have. As far as race movies go, this is in a class of it's own. If you like cars and racing, you will love this. If you don't, you will still like it, unless you hate good acting, interesting characters and great story lines. Side note: One of my favorite all time cars is the Shelby Daytona Coupe. There are a few in the background in the hangar where they're building the GT40.

In September 2019 I learned that a movie about the corporate battle on the racetrack between Ford and Ferrari would premier in November. I saw the movie on the first showing on the first day of its release. The movie tells the back story of how Ford wanted to buy The Ferrari company, but when Enzo Ferrari refused to sell, Ford developed the GT40 to beat Ferrari on the track. After seeing Ford v Ferrari, I knew that I wanted to own it. As soon as it was available on BluRay, I rushed to Best Buy to get it.

This movie was, by my estimation, 40% biography of Carol Shelby and Ken Miles, 40% why and how the Ford GT40 was developed, and 20% racing. Christian Bale went to driving school and the shots of him driving were really him driving a GT up to 120MPH. Ken Miles son said Bale spent 2 weeks with him listening to stories and looking at pictures. His son said Bale did his father to a tee. They used lenses that mimicked lenses of the time. The only CGI they used was to fill in backgrounds. This resulted in an extremely realistic movie.

The real life story this movie portrays happened when I was a baby, but because my father was a racing fan, a Ford Man and loved Shelby, this story is one I’ve been told my whole life. Thrilling to see it come to life on the screen! If you enjoyed any of the Fast N Furious installments but thought they might lack in reality, you will thoroughly enjoy Ford v Ferrari! Excellent cinematography in this movie, with emotion and a touch of sadness. I highly recommend for Action and Race fans!

Thoroughly enjoyable and interesting, and so unlike most other auto racing movies. And to think that the characters portrayed are real people. I especially enjoyed the scene where the head of Ford went for a ride with Carroll Shelby, and who stated initially that he was born to be in a race car, and then was terrified to death during that experience. I watched the movie a second time immediately it was so good !!!

This show is great even if you know the story this movie tells such an amazing story and just makes you think different about everything. I love that it is not like the current movies coming out this show is just so Real. It is set back in the time period but done so great and the story is just so truly amazing it really makes you feel like you were there. I recommend that everyone watch this film it is truly great it has been so long since I have enjoyed a movie this much.
