We were sent this device for the purpose of review. We are a 50 year old couple with plenty of worries. My husband has eye bags big enough to trigger extra bag fees when we fly anywhere. We have high hopes for this device over time. The good: The device has a sleek look, feels very nice to hold, and feels very very nice when the massager is on. Some sample eye serum packs were also included, and very much enjoyed. Charging is easy and long lasting. The Very Good: Really, the device feels wonderful. After a long and stressful day, this is a moment of pampering and selfcare that means something. The ok: We've only been using the unit for about a week and we have 50+ years of wrinkles and undereye bags. We're including some photos that show that there's been a bit of improvement. Over time, we expect more improvements. The relaxing vibrations, though, mean that we're going to be using it anyway. The not so good: The on/off interface is really hard to get the hang of. My husband says he feels like a fool for struggling so long to turn the unit on and off. In truth, it might just be him, but operation could be easier and more obvious. Would we order it again? Probably. Almost certainly, in fact. It feels great and seems to improving eye wrinkles and undereye bags. After a long day it is really nice.

The Foreo Iris and I had a bumpy start. It comes with a USB charging cable but no adaptor. Fortunately I had an old iPhone charging adaptor that worked. A computer USB port should also work. I plugged the IRIS in to charge and in less than an hour the charging light stopped blinking, but pressing the “on” button did nothing. On-line I found some information that said it had to be “travel unlocked” prior to charging and that unlocking is done by simultaneously pressing the + and - buttons. The information that came in the package did have lock/unlock instructions, but I assumed that was for future reference. Some frustration could be prevented if a few more words were added to the instructions. Something like “The Iris is locked for shipment. Press the + and - buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock prior to charging”. I did the unlock and tried charging again. Once again the light stopped blinking in about an hour but it wouldn’t turn on. I ended up leaving it on the charger overnight and the next morning it came on like it is supposed to. A full charge is said to last 100 uses. If a use is 30 seconds x 2 eyes x 2 times per day, that translates to 25 days between charging. The light will blink when the charge is low. There are 2 modes - SPA and Pure. The SPA mode (1 push of the “on” button) wiggles, taps and uses T-sonic pulsations. Pure mode (two pushes of the “on” button) just wiggles and taps. Pure mode is said to be preventative while SPA mode fixes puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. There are 8 intensities (speeds) that are controlled with the + and - buttons. When the device is turned off and back on, it will remember the last set intensity. Increasing the speed does not affect the frequency of the T-sonic pulsations. The Iris is waterproof with a sealed charging port and it has a 2 year warranty. It comes with a nice color-coordinated storage bag. There’s no complicated cleaning routine - just soap and water. The silicone is non-absorbent and any residual facial products easily wash off. The demonstration videos make it look like the Iris buttons respond with a light touch. I must have weak hands because the buttons are very hard for me to push. I have to use two hands and smash as hard as I can. I am sensitive/allergic to anything that has a perfumey smell (natural or synthetic) and use fragrance free products whenever possible. As a result, there are very few cosmetic products that I can use. Fortunately the sample of the Foreo eye serum that is included in the box had no fragrance added and did not have any scent. Products other than the Foreo eye serum can be used, but I would always use some type of moisturizer/serum. When used dry, the Iris drags and pulls. Because it’s impossible to totally avoid anything with a scent, I have perpetual bags under my eyes from the allergic reaction. I watched several videos, looking for information on the scientific principle behind the Iris and how to best use it on puffy eyes. Most of the videos were made by 20 - 30 year olds with very minor or non-existent eye issues. I was eventually able to find the following information: The device does more than just help the eye products absorb. In SPA mode it emits a transdermal pulse that is a low frequency sound wave. The sound waves penetrate the dermal layer of the skin and increase blood flow. The blood circulation is what makes dark circles lessen. The sound waves smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. The sound waves and the motion help with lymph drainage. The drainage is what is needed to eliminate the fluid in the bags under the eyes. The Iris should be placed gently about a half inch below the eye (bottom of the puffy area) and allowed to move mostly on its own from inner to outer eye. Then go back and forth over the eyebrow area. The eyebrow area should be included in the treatment because the brow is connected to the lymph system. As for my personal experience - after 5 days I’m starting to see a little improvement. The puffiness originally extended about ½ inch. Now the area closest to my eye is de-puffed and only the bottom puffy half remains. I’m hoping that with continued use I might eventually be able to keep the puffiness under control. But with constant allergies, I might be fighting a losing battle. As long as I continue to see some improvement, 1 minute twice a day is very easy to do. I confess that if a beauty treatment takes more than 5 minutes at a time, I probably won’t use it consistently. On young eyes with minor issues, the Iris should work great - at least as well as a manual massage and probably better. Time will tell how well it works on old eyes with more serious problems.

My first instinct when I got this was that it was a complete waste of money. After charging it on the DC charger it came with, I have used it every day for about two weeks now. The curved silicon oval wiggles and produces a sonic A few pros and cons I will lay out to make it plain and simple. PROS -definitely see a difference with puffiness - feels like a real eye massage - holds a charge for a long time (one charge a week for me with daily use) CONS - Confusing settings at first - Doesn't really do anything for my dark circles though - Price point is a little steep I'd classify this as a useful, effective but luxury item. It is a salon, professional quality item and I think with continued use I will continue to see the results I am seeing. If you can afford the price point, it will produce results, especially with puffiness and overall eye brightness.

As I have gotten older, I have noticed the effects of aging around my eyes. I have quite a bit of puffiness and some sagging. It doesn't bother me too much, but I jumped at the chance to try this device and hopefully do something about it. So does it work? I used it for about 2 weeks and feel that it has helped somewhat. I can’t promise that it will work for everyone, but I think the short term results have been promising. I plan to continue using it and hope for more results over the long term. I enjoyed the feeling of using it to massage around areas of my eyes. It left my eyes feeling nice and relaxed. I can recommend this product to anyone that is concerned about having eye puffiness. I feel that it is effective on me, but I can’t say that you will get the same results. But I certainly think it is worth a try if you are concerned about your appearance (and who isn't), and can afford the cost. I would put this product in the same category as a massage or other splurge on yourself. Included in the box is everything you need to get started, except for a power adapter. But any powered USB port should work. There are also a few packages of Foreo serum and a soft carrying case.

According to my wife, the FOREO IRIS Eye Massager is a very easy tool to setup and use. Charging is made convenient by the included USB cable and battery life is adequate to a device its size. The vibration around the eye region take some getting use to, but it does have a therapeutic feel to it. My wife was pleased with her experiencing using it, but seeing noticeable results may take some time to see.
