The FortiGate 50G is a fanless desktop next-generation firewall built for small offices and branch locations. It is powered by the Fortinet SP5 security processor and delivers 5 Gbps firewall, 2.25 Gbps IPS, 1.25 Gbps NGFW and 1.1 Gbps threat protection throughput, with IPsec VPN up to 4.5 Gbps. Connectivity includes 5x GE RJ45 ports (1x WAN, 3x LAN, 1x FortiLink) plus 1x USB. Secure SD-WAN and a wireless and switch controller are built into FortiOS at no extra cost, letting the unit manage up to 16 FortiAP access points and 8 FortiSwitch switches from one console. This bundle includes the FortiGate 50G appliance plus 5-year FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP), which covers IPS, antivirus, FortiSandbox cloud sandboxing, application control, inline CASB, URL, DNS and video filtering, and anti-botnet and C2 protection. FortiCare Premium adds 24x7 phone and web support with 1-hour response on critical issues, firmware updates, and next-business-day advance hardware replacement for the full term.
