The FortiGate 71F is a fanless desktop next-generation firewall built for small and midsize offices that need on-box log storage. It is powered by the Fortinet SP4 security processor and delivers 10 Gbps firewall, 1.4 Gbps IPS, 1 Gbps NGFW and 800 Mbps threat protection throughput, with IPsec VPN up to 6.1 Gbps. Connectivity includes 10x GE RJ45 ports (2x WAN, 1x DMZ, 5x LAN, 2x FortiLink) plus 1x USB, along with 128 GB SSD of onboard storage for local logging. Secure SD-WAN and a wireless and switch controller are built into FortiOS at no extra cost, letting the unit manage up to 64 FortiAP access points and 24 FortiSwitch switches from one console. This bundle includes the FortiGate 71F appliance plus 1-year FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP), which covers IPS, antivirus, FortiSandbox cloud sandboxing, application control, inline CASB, URL, DNS and video filtering, and anti-botnet and C2 protection. FortiCare Premium adds 24x7 phone and web support with 1-hour response on critical issues, firmware updates, and next-business-day advance hardware replacement for the full term.
