This little guy sounds really, really good! I was really amazed that it has a 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced jack so I can use my balanced headphones for a better soundstage. The MagSafe feature works really well, I can pull it in and out of my pocket without it coming off, and it includes a stick on ring for phones that are not MagSafe compatible. Definitely increases volume, and gives the music a more realistic sound. It effortlessly drove every headphone and IEM that I through at it!

Bought it to use with my iPhone 16 and it is working great so far. Came with good quality USB cables just perfect length. Powers up as soon as I connected to my iPhone and just couple of settings when connected first and it started playing. Very happy with sound quality its clean and powerful. I problem to power up my Fiio headphones. I like the small size, easy to carry for me and it snaps on iPhone strongly, even though back of the unit has nice leather looking material. I was using apple dongle before, but this completely changes my experience... very likable and addictive quality. I even use it to connect with my small class D amplifier, much better SQ than Bluetooth. Now my iPhone is a high quality music source for my stereo as well. Does not heat up so no issues using it for long time so far. Great value to me. Product page did not have included accessories pics, so I added one for your information.

I've had this dongle for several weeks and used several IEMs and Headphones for testing. Overall it's a serviceable dongle that is transparent. It gets the job done. The one thing that drives be batty is the simple fact that is barely adheres to by Pixel 10 Pro XL. The thing slides all over the place. I have other magsafe items that adhere and don't move around. Pros: The dongle does not get in the way of the music. The UI is simple to navigate with the physical buttons. The animations are cute. The additional port for charging passthrough is great. Cons: The adherence to my device is terrible. Gain does not make a difference. Gear: IEMs: Kiwi Ears Astral Juzear x Zreviews Defiant Headphones: Sennheiser HD 6XX Meze 109 Pro The MD3 did a great job powering all of my IEMs and headphones. The sound was not at all colored. It does not get in the way of the music. One thing that surprised me was switching between Low and High gain with the 6XX and 109 Pro. Both units are known for scaling with power. Essentially the more power you throw at them the better the sound. Unfortunately that is not the case with this dongle. They sound exactly the same with Low and High gain. Summary: Overall I think this dongle is great, but there are other models in this price range that have more features.

I've been using the MD3 for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite portable audio devices. The first thing that stood out to me was the design. It's compact enough to carry around easily, yet it feels solid and premium in the hand. The display is bright and fun to look at, especially with the animated VU meters, and the magnetic leather-style back is a thoughtful touch that makes it stand out from other portable DACs. Performance is where the MD3 really shines. It delivers a clean, detailed sound with excellent clarity, and I noticed better instrument separation and a wider soundstage compared to plugging my IEMs directly into my phone. Vocals sound more natural, bass is tighter, and overall the listening experience feels much more engaging. I also appreciate how simple it is to use. It connected to my phone instantly, and I was enjoying music within minutes without any complicated setup.

Good sound and easy to use.I mainly use this mini headphone amp/ DAC on my laptop listening to hi res music via Apple Music. I’ve been very impressed with the detail I’m getting from my Grado sr-80 headphones. The MD3 has plenty of power for my headphones. Setting the volume to fifty percent was more that loud enough with my headphones. There were quite a few songs I listened to that had certain instruments or harmony in the vocals that I hadn’t previously heard. It sounds far better than when I plug the headphones into the laptop directly. The unit is also solidly constructed, and has a nice little screen. The volume display with bit rate is a useful screen. My iphone is older, and can’t power the unit, so I used the secondary usb-c to power it, and it also sounded great with my phone. I’d suggest if you plan to use the MD3 with and iphone, make sure you have a later model with usb-c.
