I replaced my old 15.4 cubic foot freezer non frost-free with a 13.8 frost-free. I was Leary about the smaller size, but I actually have more room because of the number of drawers in the door. It also has a nice light which my other freezer didn't have. My only complaint is that it isn't very quiet when it runs other than that I love it.

We wanted a machine for our basement and this one just fit down through the doorway (with the door removed). That having been said, a larger one would be nice (if your budget allows) but for us, it was the largest one that would fit so how can we go wrong? Happy shopping!

I absolutely love my upright freezer. Gone are the days of having frost bitten fingers trying to reach into a deep freezer to find things . I’m able to shop for two months worth of groceries at one time !

What an AMAZING freezer!!! I should have made this purchase a long time ago and things would have been so much easier for me. Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes!!!! AMEN!
It's big, but not too big! The front is a smooth surface (which I prefer) the sides are textured. Textured is too hard to clean so I'm glad the front is smooth. This freezer is very roomy and the light is very bright. Yes, this model has the lock and key. No damages or scratches at all. Very professional delivery and I am on the second floor! As far as the noise, yes, you can hear it, I wouldn't sleep in the same room as it, but if you have a TV or radio on, it isn't that noticeable. Please note, the door is NOT reversible!

The size is great - the smallest frost free freezer available. It has plenty of space for our needs. There are 3 wire shelves with space for 4. One of the shelves is adjustable. I recommend the freezer come with an additional wire shelf to make the space more usable. The freezer is nice that it has shelves in the door in addition to the shelves in the freezer.

Have been using this freezer for about 4 months. Runs quietly, lots of usable space, keeps things well frozen at a medium temperature setting, remains frost-free. One small issue: some minor icing has occurred at the interior top edge of the door - maybe the location (installed in exterior garage-like setting) is a factor; has not interfered with any aspect of the freezer's operation, however. Very satisfied overall.

Other reviewers are correct - this freezer is loud when the compressor runs. I have it in the basement, so it doesn't bother me. The size is nice and items don't get lost like they can with a chest freezer. The temperature control is not labelled in degrees, so a thermometer would be handy to have. So far, it seems like a great freezer for the price.

after doing alot of research on freezers i decided on this one for price and size compared to others. i liked the light on the inside and the green indicator light on the bottom showing that its on and it also has a lock feature. alot of room and shelves in doors.

My old freezer was not a self defroster so I am always pleased at home neat and unicy the inside is. It always looks just the way I left it. Lighting is great. Sightest down side - the seal on the door is so good that it is a little hard to open. Every time I open the door, I am so happy that I bought this freezer!!!

We have had the freezer for several months. We do like it. It has a light inside which our old did not. It is frost free. The only complaint I have is the door occasionally sticks. It is very roomy and meets our needs.

Plenty or space, could use an extra shelf on the top. Seems to be a bit wasteful. Noisy when cooling, otherwise very quiet. Door is sometimes hard to open (like really hard, that seal is nuts). Still good for what I need.

My father was a Major Appliance salesman for over 40 years and he always swore that Frigidaire made the best fridges and freezers. So I, being a not-so-dutiful son recently bought a $2700 Samsung French Door fridge and within 30 days of purchase it crapped-out and ruined about $300 worth of food before the repairman could get here to fix it. An expensive lesson to say the least. Now, we needed a freezer. I checked 'em all out and decided on this Frigidaire. The build quality is very good! In fact, after looking at several other brands of similar freezers (at similar price points), the build quality is really good in comparison with any of the foreign units. The freezer's walls are thick and well insulated, the door is sturdy and the magnetic seal is extra strong. The shelving is very good both in the cabinet and on the door. The compressor is not too noisey and the box cooled down very quickly. All in all I am quite pleased with the entire unit. We had to squeeze the freezer into/through a doorway that was less than 1/16th of a inch wider than the freezer (after removing the freezer's door) and we managed to scrape it on the doorframe very very badly while forcing it through the too-narrow doorway. I knew that we had to have scraped off half the paint from the sides of the freezer. When I finally got up enough courage to look, there was NO DAMAGE. NONE. Darn good paint job! If you are in need of a good frost-free freezer I'd recommend you give this one a look-see. And, the best part is that its American Made!!! Those darn Americans... they sure can build things. I'm a 67 years young retired engineer (if you're curious).

This is a good size for us... not too small, but not too big either. Lights up nicely. Like others have said, the motor is louder than our old freezer, but we keep it in the garage so it does not matter to us.

Pro's: size, light, seals well, but also is a con (see below) Con: a little noisy, door seals very tight so difficult to open, should come with one more shelf. Owners manual, user guide does not explain much. also should come with two keys.

Good freezer for the money. Bought this upright to replace an old chest freezer. Got tired of piling food on top of everything else and having to search every time I wanted something. Now it's easy to find the frozen foods I am looking for. Keeps a good constant temperature. The only downside is that it is a lIttle noisy because of the frost free feature. But I can live with that being it is in my basement.

Needed a freezer due to expanding household. We'd researched online and found this freezer but bought instore as we wanted to see what we were buying. Purchase was quick and easy. Delivery was on time and delivery guys were very helpful in the set up. Went for delivery as the freezer was going in our basement and I didn't fancy trying getting it down there on my own. Freezer has plenty of space and keeps the temperature well. Only downside is that it is rather noisy but that's not an issue for us as it's well out of hearing.

This is the perfect freezer for me at this time. It's energy efficient, big enough but not too big, and very quiet. Because it is frost-free, it doesn't make extra work for me. The shelves make it easy to find anything. The freezer is attractive, with clean lines and a simple white color.

Love the light inside. Lots of room for items. Doesn't take up much space. Sleek. Quiet. Cold!

I am so glad I decided to purchase this upright freezer. I read the reviews and have always been happy with Frigidaire purchases. Upright is definitely the way to go. You can easily see everything and find what you want without digging to the bottom of a chest freezer. It has a nice bright light, is frost free and has a super tight door seal. It does not take up a ton of space but holds quite a bit. Plenty enough for a family of 4. And yes as some reviewers have mentioned that due to the frost free feature it is a tad bit on the loud side but not so much that it is annoying or bothersome. The sides also get extremely warm; almost hot when you first plug it in while it is getting to freezer temps but once it does that subsides. I wish that it was energy star and had digital temp control like some of the larger freezers do; but that is a small sacrifice for such a great freezer.
