Love Frigidaire products. I have previously purchased Frigidaire 50pint dehumidifier and have been very happy with it. I purchased a 2nd one with a newer design. WIth the new design, it function the same but the shut off does not always shut off immediately when pulling out the bucket like the older version. Otherwise, the dehumidifier works fine.

We've only been using our Frigidaire dehumidifier for about 3 weeks, but it has been everything we've hoped for up to this point. Our basement is about 500 sq ft., so the 50 pint capacity has been just fine. We use the continuous drain feature (which I highly recommend) to avoid having to empty the water container. If you plan to use this feature, you will need to provide your own hose for the hook-up. Also, be sure to put the dehumidifier on some patio pavers or some other type of blocks to ensure a good flow from the dehumidifier to your sump pit or other water receptacle. The app used to control the unit is easy to set up and use. If you'd rather use the buttons on the top of the unit instead, you can do that. Setting the humidity goal for your area is easy to do and to maintain. We have our unit in the basement and never hear it running. One last thing, the manual is actually understandable and useful, so don't lose it.

I have purchased two of the these units. One for two separate basements. They run very quiet compared to competitor dehumidifiers. They maintain humidity at or slightly below the manual setting, for improved indoor air quality. The only reason I did not give them 5 starts is because you must very very careful with setup. If you are using the drain and the hose connection, be sure that you provide enough fall in your drain hose to the floor drain (or whatever drain you use), otherwise the reservoir will fill and the unit will alarm when full (auto shut off). The instructions that accompany the unit are a bit lackluster. But it is quite self-explanatory. I have not downloaded the app or set-up the wifi connection. This would be too much to explain to my again parents. The app and wifi operation are not necessary for the unit to work. Good dehumidifier! I just hope it lasts.

Unit is relatively quiet. Has optional WIFi and app controls. Has an auto setting which I like. Use this in my family room on lower level of tri-level home. Frigidaire brand is rated as one of the best on the market, but I have mixed success with these, having had to replace this unit 3 times in about 7 years. Am hoping the auto feature will improve the longevity of this unit. I recommend this unit because of its price and its industry ranking, Almost every brand of dehumidifier is made by one or two companies in China, so they are all basically the same product, Frigidaire continually is rated close to the top,

I replaced my old overpriced SaniDry Sedona and I am very happy with this Frigidaire dehumidifier. My finished basement is rather large and have several areas separated by walls but no doors. I was concerned that this dehumidifier will not reach all areas, but I was wrong - the entire basement is now at very comfortable humidity. My only complain is that the dehumidifier did not come with a hose for continuous draining. And it is not easy to adjust the hose I got on Amazon so the water drains into the sump pump pit rather than in the bucket.
