  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

    • Steam Cleaning: false (Wash cycle that primarily uses steam to loosen food debris and clean fragile dishware without force.)
    • Steam Pre-Wash: false (Loosens food debris by creating steam inside the washer before the primary wash cycle, allowing for an easier, gentler clean of dishware.)

Q: Home Depot indicates that this dishwasher FGID2466QF has a plastic tub. Yet, Best Buy says it is a stainless steel tub. Please clarify whether the tub is stainless or plastic..

A: The inside is grey plastic made to look like stainless. I asked for a discount for the fake information but they will not take back the machine or give me a discount. No models in the stool to go see... not great. Next time I will go to HD instead.

Q: Detergent

A: We use the liquid Cascade Complete and love it.

Q: Control Panel

A: You set it while the door is open and then shut it. But if you want to hit the cancel button in the middle of a cycle you would need to have some space. We have almost no clearance where it is under our counter top, but just enough room to stick a pinky finer in if we needed to cancel the cycle!

Q: how much is installation?

A: It was about $120.00. They install and haul away the old one. You have to buy the install kit which includes the water line and new power cord. HOWEVER, if you have granite or other stone countertops, you will need to order the Frigedaire side mount kit to secure the dishwasher to the cabinet frame as you probably do not want to drill into the stone counter top and use the top mount brackets Frigedaire supplies.

Q: Will this dishwasher fit into a 33 5/8 inch cut out? The specs indicate a height of 33.5 to 35 inches for this model

A: Hello Frigidaire Shopper! The dishwasher FGID2466QF minimum cutout is 34-1/4 inches and the maximum cutout is 35-3/4. We hope this information is helpful to you in your search for a new dishwasher. –Thanks!-

Q: Is the stainless finish for this Gallery model the "Smudge Proof" stainless finish?

A: Hello Jay! The dishwasher FGID2466QF is a smudge-proof stainless steel model. Hopefully this information is helpful to your shopping experience. –Thanks!-

Q: My dishwasher is supposed to have a light that shines on floor. How do I activate that

A: Hi there. Reviewing the model, FGID2466QF, there is not an end of cycle indicator. Appears the retailer has the image on the site, but the features section lists the indicator as not included. Our apologies. ~ Anna
