This replaced a 4 year old gas cooktop. We have has gas cooktops for about 20 years. The induction cooktop does indeed boil water or heat up faster than gas, particularly when using the power boost function. And it is just as responsive as gas when decreasing or increasing the heat. Much easier to clean up than even a sealed burner gas cooktop. Our non-stick cookware was approaching the end of it's useful life so replacing that with induction compatible cookware was not an issue. Giving up the copper cookware was a bit painful but we have gotten over it now. The minimum/maximum pan size for each burner listed in the manual seems a bit conservative and pans outside of listed size still work fine.

Easy to use, & clean. Dials make heat options instantly visible w/ no need to use fingers sliding on cooktop to find proper heat. Digital temperature light on cooktop appears as dial move, unit beeps at temp. changes, & Hi setting has power boost for instant boiling. Bridge feature combines 2 heating elements for outsize cookware (ie. griddle); elements also function singly.

make sure your cookware is compatible. knobs are appreciated. very easy to keep clean.

It is a great cooktop. It heats up fast and cooks evenly. It is the best cooktop I have ever had.

This is a great induction cook top. It boils water very quickly and I can set it low enough to simmer my spaghetti sauce all day.

Great cooktop and the knob controls are the best. Have another induction cooktop with touch controls that causes issues with operation when working around cooktop.

Glass shattered in first week. This is supposed to be more durable but could not withstand regular use. Also very loud whirring sound when using, and not powerful enough to heat a large pan.

Really good. No issues so far in 8 months. Stays clean.

It claims to have precise temperature control but it doesn't. There's no way to set temperature in it at all! My portable cooktop allows me to set any temperature with 1 degree precision but this one isn't. All it has is 10 "degrees" with no way of even checking what temperature it corresponds to. What temperature is 6.0? No one knows.
