My Best Buy Total Members' FuboTV Experience

Hey fellow tech enthusiasts! So, I took the plunge and tried out the FuboTV service that's currently being dangled like a juicy carrot in front of us My Best Buy Plus and Total members. The promise? A whole 30 days of free access to what they claim are 'TV's top channels'. Now, who wouldn't be tempted by that, right? **INTRODUCTION** First off, let's talk FuboTV. It's a streaming platform that's been gaining traction lately, especially with sports fans. But the cool thing here is, Best Buy's thrown in a sweetener for their Plus and Total members (yep, that's us) - a free 30-day trial that's exclusive to new subscribers. And it's all digital, so don't expect a physical box or a satellite dish flung onto your roof. **EASE OF SIGN UP** Getting signed up was, thankfully, a breeze. I just had to confirm my Best Buy membership details, and I was catapulted straight to the promised land of FuboTV. No credit card drama or commitment phobia needed because it's all on the house for the first month. A word of caution though - keep an eye on that calendar because they'll bill you once those 30 days are up if you don't bail out in time. **INITIAL IMPRESSIONS** Right out of the gate, I was pretty stoked to see the lineup of channels. We're talking big names like CBS, FOX, and a whole bunch more. And yes, it's not just news and sitcom reruns; there are some solid sports channels in the mix, which is a huge win for me. Stream quality? So far, it's been as smooth as butter - no hiccups, no 'buffer face' (you know, when the screen freezes and you're staring at your own frustrated reflection). They've got this in HD, and it shows. It's like the people on TV are right there in my living room, minus the awkward social interaction. **USER INTERFACE AND ACCESSIBILITY** Jumping into the thick of it, the FuboTV interface is what I’d call ‘snazzy meets functional’. It's got this intuitive layout that doesn’t require a manual the size of "War and Peace" to navigate. I've been flipping through it on my phone, tablet, and the ol’ living room TV via a streaming stick. Each time, it’s a smooth sail. Finding shows is a no-brainer – a couple of taps and you're there. And personalizing? Piece of cake. You can set up your favorites quicker than you can say "What's for dinner?" – which is usually a lot in my house. **CONTENT OFFERING** Here's where the rubber meets the road. The channel spread is like a buffet – there's a little something for everyone. News junkies, sports fanatics, reality TV addicts – FuboTV’s got your back. But let's cut to the chase – it's a sports lover's dream come true. Soccer, basketball, you name it, they're showing it. However, if your tastes are more towards the "I want to binge-watch every series known to mankind" side of things, you might find the selection a bit lean. It's rich in live TV but not the king of the series-and-movies domain. **PERFORMANCE** Now, if we’re talking performance, FuboTV has been hitting some good notes. I've yet to experience any major annoyances like buffering or crashes, which is a big thumbs up from me. Whether it was live sports or the evening news, the stream kept up like a champ. There were a couple of moments of lower quality, but they were about as brief as my attempt at a juice cleanse – over before you know it and with no lasting impact. **CUSTOMER SERVICE** I gotta hand it to FuboTV's customer service – they're on their toes. I had a moment – wanted to figure out why my favorite soccer match wasn't showing up. Shot them a message and, boom, got a response faster than I can polish off a slice of pizza (which is saying something). They were friendly, knew their stuff, and got me back on track without making me feel like a tech noob. **COMPARISON WITH OTHER SERVICES** Now, if we throw FuboTV into the ring with other streaming heavyweights, it holds its own, especially if you're after live sports and TV. But if you're hunting for original shows or a vast library of films, you might find FuboTV’s corner a bit light. It's like going to a steakhouse – you go for the steaks, not the salad. So, if live TV's your jam, FuboTV is your band. **VALUE PROPOSITION** So, the million-dollar question – is FuboTV worth it for us Best Buy members? For the trial, absolutely. It’s like getting a free ticket to the big game. But post-trial, it's all about your TV cravings. If your idea of a good time includes catching every game live, FuboTV could be your new best friend. But remember, friendships in the streaming world come with a price tag, so check if it fits your budget when the free ride ends. **CONCLUSION** Wrapping this up, my FuboTV test drive was mostly smooth sailing with a side of "Hey, this is pretty darn cool." The user experience is solid, the stream's stable, and the content – while geared towards live TV fans – has enough variety to keep most folks content. Whether or not it’s worth the full subscription price is a personal call, but for the free trial? I’d say give it a whirl, kick the tires, and see how it vibes with your channel-surfing habits.

Great for sports, but depends what you watch

I mainly use Fubo for live sports, and that’s where it really stands out. The streams are clear, and I like being able to watch games live without dealing with cable. It’s also nice having regular TV channels in one place instead of switching between a bunch of apps. The layout is pretty easy to use, and finding live games is quick. The only downside is that it can feel a little pricey if you’re not watching sports a lot, but if games are your main reason for streaming, it makes sense. Overall, it’s been reliable, and I use it way more than I thought I would.

    Fubo

Fubo provided access to local channels I wasn't receiving over-the-air. I was able to watch Spurs games that I couldn't get with my NBA package. The price doesn't justify owning yet another streaming platform mainly to watch local NBA games. I would subscribe if I didn't already have five subscriptions.

Hands-down, the best streaming service ever!

You simply can’t go wrong here, fubo is the definite best choice for Sports and news. As someone that’s living in Colorado, having our local NBA and NHL teams games is a must have and they do show every single game. That along with insane amounts of free cloud, storage, and multiple devices streaming at the same time from anywhere make this the best service out there.
