Such a perfect compact, every day camera.
One of the best cameras I've ever bought. It is such an amazing protable and compact camera. The fixed lens has a great aperture, the 27mm lens and 26mp give great sharp images that have been print worthy. The battery doesn't last as much as with my big DSLRs but I got a second battery and I could take plenty of images in one outing. The ND filter helps take images in bright days when you want to keep the aperture at 2. The Fujifilm film simulations give beautiful JPGS that are great straight out of the camera. I've enjoyed using the phone app and can transfer pictures very quick to my phone and post them on my Instagram. My go to camera for street photography and will be my vacation camera. Small and discrete while packing a punch.

Best built digital camera I have ever owned
I have owned many digital & film cameras over the years. The only camera I can equate the build/feel of the X100v to is a Nikon FT. It took me a few hours to get a handle on the Fuji menu and control setup. Instead of having an A,P,S,M style setup, you choose which settings you want to control with the dials, and set the ones you want the camera to control to A(uto). The way the optical viewfinder works is great... the frame lines adjust depending on subject distance and you can configure the display to your preferences. You should probably plan on buying a few accessories... lens hood with filter adapter, extra battery and charger, and a case/strap. The positives : Great viewfinder, film simulations are very cool and not full of crazy settings you will never use. Menus/settings take some time to understand... lots of youtube videos to explain them. Out of camera jpegs can be amazing. The negatives : No external charger included. No hood or filter adapter included to weatherproof the lens. Lightroom 6 raw workflow is complicated. I had always wanted an X100 camera, but found it hard to justify. In some ways, I am glad i waited for the V, since it has many new features over the older models. I am glad I got off the fence!

Everyday camera for anyone.
I have been waiting for the new version of this for about a year. Finally when it was on pre order I didn’t waste any time. Top notch build quality. Plenty of controls to customize if you choose to do so. I have just scratched the surface of the cameras capability so far. I have been using Canon DSLRs for years, and I still do. However this is just something you can take right out and get the shot. Photos in JPEG straight of the camera are excellent, and the built in Fuji film modes are great. I haven’t even bothered to shoot photos in RAW to edit in Photoshop. Connection between camera and my iPhone works in seconds without any issue. It’s certainly not a cheap camera, however you get what you pay for, and I can see myself owning this for years.

Powerful beauty
I knew about the x100 series, but the fixed lens system never intrigued me til now. Wanting to downsize my gear to a single camera has also made taking photos fun again. Not having to worry about any lenses just keeps me in the moment, and it just makes it that much quicker. Pros: compact, fast, single lens, fun to use. Accessorize to your hearts content. Sharp f2.0 lens. Cons: Price, not fully weather-sealed out the box. In body charging isn’t the best, so you have to buy an additional charger.

Great camera
I am not much of a writer, As such, I am adverse to writing reviews. But my experience with this camera made me want to write about it. I lost my video camera for work, a sony ZX1, and needed to replace it. I wanted something slightly larger but still compact so I want to be as prone to forget it. The ZX1 is a much more capable video camera than this but this is still workable, Do not buy this camera for work especially video it's just too much fun to use personally. This camera, especially once you get a thumb grip and a wrist strap, It's just a dream for street photography. The fact that with one hand, I can pinch the camera with my thumb grip and use my index finger to adjust shutter speed one stop per click and use my middle finger to change aperture and have my primary exposure settings fine-tuning the ISO with my thumb is such a relief and I can do it without looking thanks to the tactile feel of the dials. Speaking of exposure. I love to shoot underexposed, And this camera rewards me for overexposing occasionally. This thing handles the blowouts and crushed blacks superbly. I find myself purposely improperly exposing scenes for looks that I want Even the ISO gran can look nice, almost like grain. You can even pull decent details from the shadows and even blowouts. Shots just come out and the more you use it the better the shots become and the ones that don't tend to be savable in a post far more often than what I am used to. At F2 on an APS-C center the Bokeh never quite reaches the level of my Rokinon 35m F1.4 but the images are sharp and very flexible to work with. And I still love the Bokeh. I learned the value of rangefinders with this camera this has me eyeing a Q2...One thing hopefully they can add IBIS to the next one, Highly recommend.
