This is a solid responsive wired controller that is a good choice for anyone on a budget that wants a top-notch hall sticks and RGB. Along with the controller, the package includes a detachable 10-foot USB-C to USB-A cable, a manual, and a 1-month Ultimate XBOX Game Pass. The controller is lightweight and is encased in a smooth plastic shell with texture on the grip areas. It has a USB-C port to connect it to the XBOX or PC with and an AUX port for headphones. It has high quality hall effect analog sticks, a quiet cardinal D-pad, and soft action buttons. Of the buttons, the A is unusually loud when clicked for some reason. There is no notable latency when it comes to this controller. The analog stick works immensely well and is comparable to far more expensive models. It is the highlight of the controller. The analog stick is coated in a grippy rubber that traps debris though, which may be worth considering if this is for someone who eats while gaming because I have only had it a few days and am already struggling to clean off whatever particles it is that got into them. The trigger buttons are also hall-effect and include adjustable trave via a switch in the back. The full distance of travel is not very far compared to other models which can be both a pro or con depending on the game and personal preferences. With the switched turned to quick-trigger mode, the buttons become more clicky when pressed, compared to their standard softness. The controller includes a mappable back button which is well-placed and designed. I don’t accidentally press it when playing because it is made flat and placed where the pads of my fingertips rest. Vibration is interesting in this controller. It’s two vibration systems don’t seem to vibe well. The handle vibration has a satisfying core rumble, but the trigger button’s vibrations is shallow and lackluster. Also, the vibration causes the shell to emit a lot of noise. Gamesir has a downloadable app called Nexus that allows remapping, deadzone changes, and light brightness changes. You can create up to 4 profiles here than can be switched later using button configurations shown in the manual. Overall, this is a responsive controller with a quality hall stick. It is lightweight, ergonomic, and easy to map. I specifically love this controller for my kids because it is simple, wired, and robust.

GameSir T7 Pro is like a “budget pro” controller that works way above its price if you’re okay with staying wired. In terms of feel, it’s very comfortable, with a shape that's slightly smaller than an Xbox pad; I like that a lot because I have smaller hands. It has a textured back that helps it stay planted during long sessions. It's got a "knurling" kind of like a barbell, but not so rough, but about as deep, so you aren't going to be slipping when sweaty gaming. The face buttons are membrane but still feel responsive, but that's good because it's not going to make so much noise if you need it to be quiet. I PREFER the d-pad being a cross instead of a cross dish, and that's how I normally configure my Elite controllers. This is definitely very very good as a fighter controller. The D-pad is sensitive enough in 8-way where you won't miss a fireball. Where it really stands out is the sticks and triggers: the Hall Effect sticks give smooth, precise control and should do a much better job avoiding stick drift over time, and the Hall Effect triggers with on‑the‑fly trigger stop switches let you pick between full analog travel or a short “hair trigger” style pull for shooters. It feels surprisingly “high end” for a wired controller, with all the details you need to get the game done and adds durability to the kit. The lights are pretty cool. I thought they'd be kind of distracting because when you press the buttons, they slowly fade up. I think I like the lighting a lot now that I've been playing with them a lot. Extra feature‑wise, it covers most of what I’d want in a daily‑driver pad. You get two mappable back buttons instead of a whole bank of paddles, but for most games that’s enough for jumping, reloading, or a key ability without moving your thumbs off the sticks. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack, strong vibration with multiple motors, and support for GameSir’s software so you can tweak things like dead zones and button mappings on PC. It works across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, and Steam, so it can move between console and desktop without drama. I plugged it into a Series X and it worked pretty much immediately with no fuss. The trade‑offs are pretty straightforward: it’s wired only, so you’re living with a cable. But for the price, you’re getting drift‑resistant sticks, flexible triggers, back buttons, and a comfy design that feels solid, not cheap. If you’re shopping Best Buy for a controller that’s a clear upgrade over a basic stock pad without spending elite pad money, this is a very easy one to use and possibly get another of. Honestly, wires/cords are fine. We've gotten lazy IMHO and don't always need to have wireless. This controller is very much a RECOMMEND!

This controller immediately gives off original Xbox vibes with its green color scheme, and that nostalgia works in its favor. The overall shape sticks close to the modern controller shapes, which keeps it familiar and comfortable—especially for medium sized hands. The stick and button layout is easy to reach, and the textured stick rims add a secure grip. Stick clicks register cleanly. The face buttons have satisfying travel with a slightly clacky sound that isn’t overly loud. The cross shaped D pad feels more precise than a disc-style design. Shoulder buttons are well placed with a nice texture, and the triggers have deep, springy travel. You can shorten that travel with a two stage switch for faster inputs, and there are extra remappable buttons on the underside. The 3.5mm jack works without issue. The RGB lighting is bright—too bright in a dark room—and the diffusion is uneven. Fortunately, you can turn it off if you prefer a cleaner look. Performance is where this controller really shines. The hall effect sticks feel exceptionally smooth and responsive, which is noticeable in fast, competitive games. While the face buttons aren’t mechanical or hall effect, they still perform reliably. The hall effect triggers offer precise control, which is especially useful in racing games where subtle pressure matters. The D pad is accurate and avoids accidental diagonals in fighters and side scrollers. Aside from being wired—though the cable is generously long—there’s little to complain about. In fact, the low latency gives it an edge over many wireless options. If you want a budget friendly controller or simply prefer a wired setup, the GameSir T7 is absolutely worth considering.
