This dash cam is one of the more expensive options available at Best Buy. However, for the price, you get a well-sized unit with one of the best user interfaces (UIs) on the market, making for an incredibly simple experience. This is crucial for me because other dash cams I own have overly complex UIs, which make configuration difficult. Other Pros: 4K Videos: Super clear, with license plates generally readable. Magnetic Mount: Convenient for use between two cars, with an additional mount for another car. USB-C Powered: Compatible with my car's USB-C plug. Note that this varies by car, so check if your car's USB-C plug provides power. Thin Cables: Easier to route for a cleaner install. Adding a Second Camera: Garmin makes it easy to add another camera. I added a mini 3 as a rear camera, and both cameras are controlled by the Garmin software. Size: Small and easy to mount on the windshield without being a distraction while driving. Cons: Price: Quite steep compared to other cameras with similar capabilities. Software: While adding an additional camera is slick, the software itself is not great. In my experience, most dash cam software is subpar, so Garmin isn't much different in this regard.

Very good camera. I had an older version and needed an upgrade. Very clear video, Little pricey but I bought on sale.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. The quality exceeds every other camera I have owned in the past. It is expensive, but I am not willing to rely on a cheaper product that can give out or not save an important video during a car accident. I have kids so this gives me a peace of mind every time I drive. Thank you, Garmin you really went the extra mile with this dashcam!

Does the job and easy to use on the app. I highly recommend!

Ready great product, easy to set up and intuitive features.

Works great most of the time. There are times that it does not automatically start up with my van. Need to turn it on manually. Also sometimes connecting to it with my phone is a bit of a problem. All in all it works well.

Excellent camera smaller than expected but great features and compact.

Upgraded to this Garmin from a cheap Aukey. Quality difference is night and day compared to my old one. Love being able to use the garmin app to pull saved videos.

Great little dash cam. Easy to set up and use. The view at night is better than real vision.

Easy to use, functions as intended, awesome features. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Amazing image quality this is my 3rd one I purchased.

Excellent quality. However, I would love to have a steady after a couple seconds the screen goes black

It’s a satisfying experience Records 4K UHD video quality 4K Ultra HD resolution Touchscreen 140-degree field of view

Great Dashcam, easy to use, good quality and the Garmin name.

I was worried this would stick out on the windshield but its very small and when tucked behind the rearview mirror i dont hardly notice it. Excellent quality video! I thought the app would be a little better since its a Garmin product but doesnt take away from the quality of the cam. Would recommend to anyone!

The video is clear and no delay. I love this kind of dashcam

The clarity of the videos are crazy good. I actually had to give a video of a drunk driver to a cop, and he was even impressed with the clarity. You could see the plates of his truck easily.

I purchased a Garmin Dash Cam X310 in May 2025. As of yesterday, it no longer powers on automatically when the car starts. After updating the software and reformatting the SD card, it booted normally once before failing again. Following an attempted reset, the device is now stuck in a continuous boot loop, displaying only the Garmin logo. I tried performing a hard reset, but it didn't work because of the boot loop.

Well worth the peace of mind. I know I do my part to drive well, inform to barely others can’t be relied on to their part….. hence, a Garmin dash cam. I love the screen availability (having no screen is a bad idea). I only wish I could use it on a moto!
